Hey dear, I just wanted to say one thing about getting up in the middle of the night. You want to make sure you are going to pee in the day, or you are dehydrated. If you don't pee, you don't have enough water.

It is hard to tell if you are dehydrated in the day if you go to pee. A good sign of dehydration is your pee being very yellow, but on a low carb diet, you go into ketosis, which makes your pee yellow.

The big thing is, make sure you are going to pee in the day time. If not, drink more water.

Pee a lot in the day, and not in the night, happy day, good for you....John

Margaret, I used to get up 2 to 3 times a nite before WLS....and wondered why I was so tired in the morning.....since my surgery I no longer get up at all during the nite and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go.   I love mornings and get my best work done then!

REM sleep. What I wouldn't give for a night of "good" REM sleep. On  the few occassions that I manage to slip into a deep sleep I have terrible anxious dreams that make me GLAD to wake up!
