SATURDAY, WHAT'S NEW
![]() |

This is the first time I have tried to up load a photo, so I hope you get to see what a grand fellow I have. He is so excited about getting his new glasses.
Also, he needed a hair-cut so badly, and I had an old pair of clippers from where I had purchased 30 years ago to use on my son, but my son would never let me cut his hair. Poor little Jordan didn't know any better. If you can see, when I finished, he didn't have much hair left, but he was happy. I finally get to use my new clippers after 30 years. I think my son was wise not to let me near his hair.
I fixed biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast, and I got some purrs from Jordan, John was happy also.
I suppose we will attempt to raise the Christmas tree today, so Cindy, if you wish me good luck with the tree, I will wish you good luck with the lottery.....John
Don't blame me. I voted for Sarah......
John, I'll take any wishes for good luck that come my way!!
Jordon looks happy.
Do you put up a fresh tree for Christmas? I love the pine smell. One Christmas many years ago, we purchased a live tree with the intention of planting it after the holiday. After a day in the warm house, it was crawling with bugs. My husband took it outside and sprayed it. It was a Colorado Blue. After the bug spray hit the foliage, it turned a dark green. In the spring, the new growth was Colorado Blue in color. We had a multi-colored tree in the front of our house. To this day, I love Colorado Blues.

Aloha Cindy and all of my OFF family,
I have been reading posts a lot, but not posting myself lately. So much is happening in all of your lives and I really feel for those with physical problems, or who have friends who are having troubles.
It does seem to be the time of our lives when we have friends/family who are having physical challenges. My 85 year old neighbor is who I'm worried about. She is almost housebound but she is very regular on ONE THING: taking her sweet little ****zu, Bubba, to his "spa day." This happens every three weeks, and she gets out of her house for that, and while he's being groomed, she does some shopping, but runs out of steam very quickly. I try and call her whenever I'm in Safeway or Costco to see what she needs and bring it home to her. She was a gift to me when I moved to Maui.
My days have been filled with testing "my babies" hearing. I tested the last three days, and still cannot believe how many babies are born on this little island. In that three days I tested about 24 babies! And those were all born the day before I tested them. Big baby boom!! I don't think I'd be quick to bring children into this crazy messed up world right now......but youth is optimistic and they ARE our future!
It's just getting light outside, and the sky above Haleakela (volcano) is orange, and the black of the mountian and the gray of the ocean is beautiful. It will go through a magical transition in the next hour....and I so love watching that happen. However, I have to be off to a meeting, so won't get to see the whole thing.
I want to respond to so many of you personally, and hope to later.
For now.....here's a hug and wishes for a day full of good surprises.
