Greetings Everyone:

I can't believe I'm up at this hour of the morning and that no one has started the what's new thread.

Hope everyone is getting a good night's sleep!

Not much planned for today. Will get the mail, stop at the store for a lottery ticket, and come home and relax. Tomorrow will be spent visiting our mom's.

What do you have planned for the weekend?

Hi Cindy and everyone,

Good morning to you!  I can't believe I'm up this early either.  I thought about starting a thread but chickened out, LOL.

Yesterday was kind of crazy so I'm hoping the weekend will be much quieter.  I'm not banking on it, though, LOL.  Plans:  decorating the tree & house, taking my daughter for her appointment, and visiting with our grandson.

My DH had carpal tunnel surgery on his left wrist yesterday.  The surgery center is about an hour north of us.  Everything went well and DH strolled out with a smile on his face.  He has sleep apnea so he brought his CPAP machine as a precaution.  We didn't remember about it until we were five minutes from home.  The last thing I wanted to do was have to drive back north on 295 but what can you do?  We got home in time for dinner and luckily it was crockpot Irish beef stew.

This morning his hand is throbbing but he's doing great.

I had weird dreams all night--but none of them were about driving on 295 thank goodness!

Have a super Saturday all!

Hi Cindy and those to follow!

I am still sick with this chest cold.  Can't shake it.   I am having my inlaws over tomorrow and I honestly wish they weren't coming.  They know I have been sick.  Oh well... I guess I can tough it out.

Nothing new here except doing laundry and going to try and straighten up the house for tomorrow.  I don't really feel like it.

I wanted to start Christmas shopping but that has been put on hold too.

Going to send my husband to the grocery store today after he comes home from work.  Can't help it.

I hate when he goes, he buys a lot of snacks...  He likes his sweets.  I can take them or leave them.

I hope everyone gets their prayers answered and has a good day today.  Put on a smile today.  I am going to try..lol

good morning! always great to see your smile, cindy!

it's 19friggin degrees here-nothing on the ground but frost....

my weekend is full of -well- today we'll make the drive (almost 2 hours) to meet up with my granddaughter's mom and put my callie cat to sleep--they really don't have the money-they have enjoyed her these couple of months that she has lived with them ( they had homed her for the rest of her time so we could move to hawaii in october which never happened!)and now, it's only right that i step up to the plate. callie was mine for 10 years and she was a rescue...after that, we'll spend some time together and i am hoping to get over to see my ex FIL for an hour or so..then, at 5pm, we meet at a mexican restaurant for a surprise ( i hope it still is!) party for my baby's 30th birthday....by the time we have dinner and drive home it will be bed time-

tomorrow we'll have to get back to the task of packing and purging!

soooooo-yesterday; it became official...i am totally nutsycuckoo--michael claimed something on craig's list and i went to pick it up--and i was talking to it in the car!! it's a young pheasant--someone found it in a parking lot of a busy pizza place and took it home so it wouldn't run out into traffic--roxie was sure it was dinner!!!!!! well; michael has offered it a life pardon (meaning we will not kill it to eat) so--it's in our basement in a cage for now-not sure where it's going to live once we move to smaller quarters! but it is beautiful and handfeedable and will have a good life! once it is old enough to be let go, his plan is to let it go at mom's...i hope it's not too attached to us by then! he rode beautifully in the back of the car and looked out the windows trying to see where we were going--was he planning his escape route????

gradually getting a few Christmas gifts together and trying to round up all that i have squirreled away so far before our move...

had a wonderful (phone) chat with a great friend yesterday-needed to catch up...

sending hugs and prayers............

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Morning everyone.....yup, I'm up early too .... just can't seem to sleep past 6 a.m.    Finished cleaning the house -- just had to do my bathroom and sweep the kitchen floor.....glad that job is done.  Have a load of undies in the washer, and the litter box is clean.

Need to mix up a BIG batch of baked beans for a funeral dinner this noon.   My neighbor and I will be attending the service at 11:00.....it's a long time church member and a friend that my late hubby and I were close to.

I wonder about Facebook -- I posted a comment about Margo's pheasant yesterday and now it's gone.....must be someone deleted it or hid it from view.....what's with that?

My best girl friend is in the hospital -- she's been dealing with a terrible infection in her L index finger for over six weeks.  Just between you and me, her PCP is a quack!  Finally he referred her to an orthopedic surgeon and the surgeon immediately scheduled surgery which was yesterday.  She has a really bad staph infection throughout the finger and into the bone....she could lose her finger.  Will be going down to see her at the hospital in Goshen, In. tomorrow after church.  Prayers for "Nancy" would be appreciated.

Time to put in a new CD  of Christmas music and have some breakfast.
Have a wonderful weekend -- no snow here yet, how could we get so lucky ..... just north about 50 miles they got 3 or 4 inches and in Grand Rapids which is 100 miles north they got from 10 to 15 inches.  Thank you God for keeping us dry here in Sturgis, with my gimpy foot I am terrified of trying to walk when it's slippery..

pat-first thing-=definitely sending prayers for nancy--such a simple thing can be so disturbing-hope they are able to save her finger....

as to fb--i swear i don't understand any of it anymore- my posts are disappearing all of teh time- landing on my profile page ...or timed weird!

i'm worried about the weather driving our moving truck up on the 19th or 20th...whatever way we go we ultimately go up 131 and it can get raw around there!

Morning everyone...
Sorry I've been off more than on this week.  I've been in a rather foul mood all week.
I've been fighting with drs. again about this dang abdominal pain.  My endocrinologist says that I have hyperparathyroid disease..too much calcium in my blood, too much parathyroid hormone.  But, he doesn't see the need for any treatment.  So I guess that means I keep being sic****il he is ready to send me to a surgeon about removing the sick parathyroids.
Its frustrating!!!!!  It certainly seems to be the"practice" of medicine cause I'm not sure they really know what they are doing.
I'm a teacher...If I practiced instead of knowing how to do my job I would be fired!!!  Anyway..thats whats been bugging me all week.

So today I'm going to try to do better...clean my house...try to do some decorating and I'm going to hang out with my 5 year old granddaughter..maybe she can get me out of this funk.

Prayers to all who need them...blessings to all *****ad this...hope everyone has better days ahead.

Connie...yooohooo girl...getting out of the house is a good step..I'm glad you are going to try.  Remember BABY steps.  I DO hope you have some fun.  Laugh and be gay...it will help.
