What Are We Eating-Saturday?
I had a quiet day Friday..actually stayed at home, sorting things and packing huge clear plastic bags...some for charity...some to take to Mom...going thu more of her patterns.
I did alot of hand wash today too, filled my meds compact for the week, ordered renewal on some prescriptions, washed both bathrooms down, checked on Mother, returned phone calls, made broth from a frozen turkey carcass and bathed, blow-dried, fluffed and litter-trained a little grey tiger kitten who is going to a good loving new inside home. :}
This is Saturday's plan:
B Matrix hot chocolate protein drink
S banana stuffed with LF peanut butter
L LF cottage cheese w/unsweetened crushed pineapple
S 2 hard-boiled eggs mashed in LF mayo w/ chopped green onions spread on some multigrain crackers
D home made beef/vegetable & barley soup
S FF yogurt

calcium citrate
1 fluid pill with potassium

Wish I had some of that soup! Sounds great. I am going to try and get more fluids in today because I have a bad cold.

edit.....lunch was a disaster! We got away from home and I thought a chili dog sounded good. I ordered a chili dog at James Coney Island, planning to do away with the bun and just have a bit of weenie and some chili. I think my brain had a juicy turkey weeny in mind but what I got was a rubbery mess. 2 small bites sat like a rock! 3 small bites was chili and I was done. So I brought home chili for this week.
For supper I had half a chicken enchilada in a corn tortilla, 4 shrimp and a Tbl of Wholly Guacamole.
So all in all it turned out to be a good food day after all. But I do need to get in the habit of keeping some sort of protein in the car.
