What Are We Eating- FRIDAY?
Hello, everyone!
On Thursday, I had ultrasound and some heavy duty bloodwork done in Burlington (out-of-town) w/ 12 hour fasting- so I didn't have breakfast and didn't eat lunch due to not sleeping the night before and feeling icky, then I got home and had a two hour nap and left to have Christmas dinner with Mother at her new residence.
My whole day was screwed up but "Bella" residence was hosting a FAMILY Christmas Dinner and I went for Mom..she wanted me there.
The meal was excellent..turkey, squash, carrots, mashed potatoes, appetisers, wine, homemade pie and coffee & tea. I did indulge, just not alot of anything.
We had our pictures taken with Santa who seemed to HUG me a little TOO vigorously and long...lol. Mother told him that "that's my DAUGHTER!" as if to say.."back off!"...soo funny!
It's a 35 minute drive home from there...three times longer/farther than Mom's old retriement place but Bella still amazes me with their love and compassion for their residents! I am SO grateful that Mom is there!
I have a better plan for Friday:
B Matrix hot chocolate protein drink
S banana stuffed with LF peanut butter
L LF cottage cheese w/ unsweetened crushed pineapple
S multigrain crackers and cheese
D boneless chicken thigh, steamed spinach & snow peas
S homemade beef w/vegetables and barley (high protein & high fibre)

Hey Annette!
Ive always taken extra supplements way before WLS.
multiple vitamin - doctor's orders
iron - doctor's orders
magnesium
VB1( to keep my brain working better) , B6, B12
Vitamin A
vitamin C - to keep colds away
vitamin D - we have a long cold winter here & I read that WLS people don't make their own Vitamin D anymore
vitamin E
Omega oils
calcium citrate- doctor's orders
1 fluid pill with potassium - doctor's orders
I'd done alot of reading and just wanted to make sure that I get the right stuff, and not overdoing it either. So far, all my bloodwork has come out almost perfect...just a LOW-NORMAL for iron.
