What's new Friday?

Hi my OFF family:

What's new here? I'm waiting for stories again ... so nothing's new. This time, it's a story on Michigan State's women's basketball (they won). Big upset. Didn't have much to do tonight until very late, so I grabbed a big pile of pages to proof and dove into that early in the evening. That kept me occupied for the first two hours. The rest of the time, I've been bored.

And it's snowing here ... I guess it's coming down pretty hard now. I hope it's not too bad going home. I hear it's worse going west, which is the way I have to drive home. Oh joy.

Thursday was a busy day of shopping, picking up prescriptions and kitty litter, etc., then getting garbage ready to go out Friday. It'll be buried in the snow this morning.

Good to see George back ... looks like he had a nice vacation. And Nancy's birthday party for her mom sounds really nice.

Well, post away. Sorry to hog it for two days, but I'm so bored. I'll check back later as I watch the flakes fly.

Can anyone save me some time and bring up to date as to what happened since I've been gone?  I guess I am a little lazy.

Hi one and all... and welcome back George.

I work the early shift today... so I am off work at 2:30!

I have to turn myself into a pen making machine this weekend.... lots of orders to fill and Christmas is looming ever closer....

They haven't found a replacement for me at work yet... I am guessing they are delaying so they can save a couple of bucks on holiday pay... and until they get a replacement for me I can't leave and start my new job. So.... here I stay for awile... no problem though... it's a decent job for sure so I don't mind hanging out for awhile.

I have broken tradition and asked the family for exercise mats and step-up thing... maybe a Wii Fit or something like that. I always get gift cards to woodworking stores.. but not this year. This year I am going to concentrate on my health.

Way to go Marc.  Can you share some of your enthusiasm with me?

I see we're the early birds this morning - lol - I have to work and then today is my piano lesson day.  My lesson this week is challenging (piano teacher doesn't want me using the word difficult - lol).  It's Charlie Brown's Christmas Time Is Here.  I'm getting it, but it's going very slowly.  I complete the song Do You Hear What I Hear and I LOVE it and love playing it.  I'm not sure I'll have time to learn Mary Did You Know, but I love that song too.

Anyway, I won't rattle.  Enjoy the weekend.....can't believe another week has flown by already - whew, where is the time going?

I sang Mary Did You Know with the General Motors Chorus and absolutely loved it.

I have been up for a couple of hours. Tom cell phone rang at 3:30 am, wrong number, then it kept beeping. When I complained that it was annoying, he said it was no worse than listening to me cough, sneeze and sniffle all night.  He sure ****** me off sometimes!

I am feeling better today. Still making those annoying noises but the fever is down. Yeah, I'm still upset about his comment.

This weekend I need to get some holiday spirit and shop. Maybe put up some lights and decorate the house. With 7 nosey cats, that is often difficult. They see boxes and have to jump right inside. Then they take flying leaps to grab the decorations. On second thought, I should hang the cats and decorate them. Just kidding, I'm a grump this morning.

Annette, sorry you are still feeling bad.....hope you get well soon.  I have to agree with you re Tom's comment -- not nice, Tom!
I laughed about hanging the cats and decorating them......so far mine only sniffs at the decorations.  I have some pretty Christmas soaps I usually put on the bathroom vanity, but didn't this year because Miss Fluffy licks them -- yuk!

So far no snow here in Sturgis......yes!  The luncheon yesterday was nice and we had a really good attendance.  My casserole was almost gone, so it must have been good.   I ate mostly protein and a tiny spoonful of 3=bean salad, marinated calif. blend salad, and cranberry jelly, and 1 small cookie.....so I was proud of myself and the scales moved downward this morning.....just need to keep it going today.

As for hanging the cats post....it made me laugh...haven't laughed much lately so it felt good...thanks!!
