Thanks, all the prayers worked!
Not that I'm surprised, but the prayers that you all sent up worked. Gary's heart cath came out really well. Dr. says his heart is strong. He'll be coming home on Thursday. Now, what's causing the shortness of breath and chest pressure? Dr. Jani says anxiety. He just retired one month ago, and I'm thinking maybe he's secretly anxious about the whole thing.
The cat scan they did when we got to ER ended up showing a nodule on his lung. Now we've got to get him in for a PET scan. It's a small nodule, only 9mm, so hopefully if it is cancer, they'll be able to remove it in total. We think the PET scan will be scheduled for next week sometime.
Still waiting for grandson Joshua to arrive. Thank goodness he had the decency not to come this week so far and set us into a tailspin.
I'm really tired because I didn't get to sleep until 4am this morning, slept for 3 hours then back up and headed for the hospital. I told Gary I was sleeping in tomorrow and I'd probably be to the hospital around noon. He said fine, because he was going to take a sleeping pill tonight to get some sleep too.
Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts. Keep them coming please.

I wish I would have thought of asking for a sleeping pill last week in the hospital. With the loud snorer I shared my room with, the woman across the hall yelling out "Dia mia" over and over and the nurses' station having a party - I swore that I heard reggae music
and smelled jerk chicken LOL, there was no way that I could sleep. Oh well, that's over with - I could write a book about it!
Jan - I am so glad to see that Gary's heart is okay. You sound like the type who takes things as they come without a lot of worrying or catastrophizing ahead of time - good for you.
I'll keep you and Gary in my prayers. Margaret

Jan,
Glad to hear he came through well and hope the PET scan shows nothing to be worried about!
Hugs, Laureen

Wwwhhhoooooo Jani!! Prayers still going up for both of you. May you get your rest and Gary find peace with being retired. That is a lifestyle change for him. Maybe he can volunteer some where when he gets all his medical stuff out of the way. I'm sure the PET scan will turn out okay for him. Big hugs and prayers.
