Need some friends on this WLS journey
Welcome, Cathy. This is a great forum and a great group of women and a few men. I've made some great friends here. I hope you will too. I have lost 180 pounds in five years, kept most of it off. I think WLS was the best decision I've ever made.
Hope you will stick around and be active in our little world.

Welcome Cathy - you've come to a good place for information and friendship.
I'm 58 and had Roux-en-Y surgery (gastric bypass) last week. I feel great and am doing well for an "old broad".
So far, I am really glad that I have had the surgery, and I anticipate feeling the same in the future.
Welcome aboard.

Hi Cathy, I usually hang out on Texas Board, but I am a buckeye through and through from Hilliard....All the rest of our family still lives in Ohio. I am 54, have been as high as 272 and had the sleeve Aug 08. I am so happy I did. I have lost 70 # from when I had surgery but had lost about 25 before that. I have a lot more energy and am pushing (motivating) myself to move more. Working on jogging and walking, adding more jogging to each walk. I don't know much about lapband but will be happy to help where I can and I can always use a new friend!
