lol, Debbiejean, you made me laugh, your comment about the snug pants and the pjs. . .that's exactly what I did last night, I went home changed into my pjs, sat down ate dinner and then watched television until about 9 and then played bejeweled for a little while and got in bed . . .  when I change into my gym clothes and go straight to the gym it works well for me, I even like to go before work, but on some mornings I take my roommate to work, so I can't go to the gym before work on those days. . .  my support group meets this Saturday too!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Ok so we are both going to our support groups. We need that now.
I too like to exercise in the morning before work but only during summer time. I live half hour away from the gym so I have to be at the gym at 0530 when it opens to exercise before work. When it's winter time I like to exercise after work due to the weather and road conditions. That also keeps me from over eating or reaching for carbs in the winter time.

Now when we get snow, I'm sure I will go out with the grandkids and play in the snow with them but really it's not exercising like at the gym, I move and groove with the kids but it's not hard exercise that my body now requires.

I do love going home and getting into my pj's though. I hate bras!! Let em hang I say!!

Oh Debbiejean!

I did it, I went to the gym and all I can say is ouchie . . .  lol, but I did it and I'm with you on the bra thing, used to be when I got home, I'd kick off my shoes, head for the bathroom and let the girls free. . . lol

Thanks for the encouragement, I'm too dang tired to cry, so I'm off to bed. . .

nighty, night

Thanks Judy, I know, I just miss him singing to me when I walked through the door after work, petting his soft furry head or rubbing his velvety ears and of course, getting his big sloppy kisses  he is free of all pain and that is a good thing

Laureen,  That's the time I missed my dogs the most.  Coming in the door after work.  They would always be standing there, wagging their tails and chorteling to me or just dancing.  That was the big reason for me to get another one, and I'm sure I'll continue getting other ones in the future.
My heart breaks for you.

Jan,

I almost feel guilty about it, but I know I will get another furry friend in the not very distant future, there is just way too much furry love missing from my life and truth be told, had I not worked in NY for so long I would have gotten a 2nd dog long ago, but I always felt that Dillinger was used to my crazy schedule and I could not do that to another dog, plus I thought since he was an older dog it would make him jealous or he might not get along with it and so I never got another one. . .  all in time God will lead me to the next furry son (or daughter). . .

Thank you for your friendship and support.

Hugs, Laureen

(((Laureen)))

It's going to take a while before things really get back into a normal routine for you.  I think it's a great idea to look for something to be cheerful about.  In one of my blogs, I participate in a challenge called "Grace in Small Things".  What you do is find five little things that happen in your day that are positive, add cheer to your day, brighten your outlook, etc.  I've been doing it less than 3 weeks and I find it's a big help to lighten the load.

Yes, Gratitute is not a word, it is an action and finding the simple things in life, the everyday things that you can do with ease, are ways of finding gratitude and passing a stranger and perhaps giving them a smile. . .  I get it and live life that way as much as possible.  Thanks for your hugs and support

WILL TURN OUT OK.  ITS GOOD YOU GOT HIM RIGHT TO THE HOSPITAL.

TODAY BOB IS HAVING HIS COLON SURGERY SO OF COURSE IM A BIT NERVOUS
ABOUT EVERYTHING.  HIS SURGERY ISNT TILL THE AFTERNOON, SO WILL HAVE
TO SIT AROUND AND WORRY THIS MORNING.

MOM IS NOT DOING WELL, SHE WAS BASICALLY UNRESPONSIVE YESTERDAY
AND IS RUNNING A FEVER, THEY THINK SHE HAS AN INFECTION AGAIN AND
THEY ARE DOING BLOODWORK.  THE NIGHT NURSE IN THE HEALTHCARE UNIT
AT ASSITED LIVING ASKED FOR THE NAME OF THE FUNERAL HOME WE PLANNED
TO USE, SO I GUESS EVERYONE IS EXPECTING THE WORST.  MOM IS ONE TOUGH
LADY THOUGH, SO WHO KNOWS, SHE MAY PULL THROUGH THIS TOO FOR AWHILE.

LAUREEN IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE TRYING TO HOLD THINGS TOGETHER, AND THAT
IS GOOD.

HUGS TO ALL IN NEED AND I WILL WELCOME ANY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS YOU
ALL CAN OFFER TODAY FOR MY HUBBY AND MY MOM.
