So many of us females on OFF are "vertically challenged" that George even seems taller than he is! I too was surprised. But what a nice couple they are. So glad you were able to meet up. Sounds like that new knee isn't keeping you down!

Jan, When we gather together anyone over 5'5" seems really "tall" to most of us! It's really pretty funny. Most of the OFFers I've met are between 5' nothing and 5'3". At 5'3" I'm one of the "taller" ones!

Hey Karen!

What a cute idea to announce the new arrival! Congratulations!

BTW..I am ALMOST 5'6...always felt so big and clunky beside my in-laws who never top 5'3.  So I guess I'm  "giant among women!" *s*

I sure didn't forget you Julia. I envy those taller than 5'5"! Marti, Nancy B, Julia, and our dear Maui Karen. . . . At 5'3" I felt "tall" next to many of those I've had the pleasure of meeting in person! However, we're short only in stature; we're all tall on that special something that comes with being "seasoned" and knowing who we are and what we will and won't take!!

Hey Little Pixie!

You do indeed make me feel tall. Are you anywhere close to 5 foot?  Even tho you are tiny you are petite and just perfect in every way.

I'm doing ok. Trying to get out of my winter blues by doing some little holiday things for others. I'd love to get up your way but don't see it happening until after the holidays. Doing most of my finish up shopping on line.

Just sent an email about a new friend of mine who will be heading to Spokane next fall. Why don't you come down here for a change of scenery? I'd love to have you anytime.

Hi Jan and my OFF family:

I did a whole lot of Christmas decorating yesterday ... not as much as I would have liked to have done, but enough to make my body extra sore. I'm paying for it today. I was in pain when I woke up yesterday because of the weather, then I did all that lifting and bending, so I was really sore after that. I'm in a lot of pain this morning. I woke up several times last night with pain in my back and legs ... just can't really get comfortable. Still have some more decorating to do today. Not as much, but a few more boxes to unpack. Got the little ceramic tree up, which is the most important thing, and some of the other stuff in the boxes. Today will be the village and the Nativity. I love when it's all finished ... it looks so festive. I love all the lights. I just hate putting it up and taking it down.

So in between I watched football and tried to read but I didn't get much reading done ... too tired. I napped for 45 minutes after dinner ... really must have been tired.  Today I have an appointment with my psychologist in town, but I'm going into Grand Rapids early because I want to hit work for the Christmas book sale. If I don't go in during the day, I won't get to persue it at all ... they're only open during daytime hours and I don't go into work til 7 p.m. Good bargains ... it's by silent bidding only and I usually do all my Christmas shopping there. Plus I get some books for me too.

Otherwise, not much else going on. It was sunny when I got  up at 8:30 but it's clouding up now and is gloomy again. Typical West Michigan winter weather. Not looking forward to snow.

Well, have a good day.

Good morning Jan and everyone.......

The sun is shining and it looks pretty outside....high today of 38.....bbbrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Jan it is nice to see you start the thread today. I would guess that George would be very tall...don't know why...I just always thought that. I can't wait for him to post some of the pics!!

Laureen...my thoughts and prayers are with you today. Such a sad time for you.We are here for you anytime you need us. (((HUGS)))

Pat R....hope your feet start feeling better. There isn't much worse then hurting feet!!

Judy G ....please keep us posted on your mom's situation.

George....hope you get a chance to post some of those pics soon....of your meeting with Jan and Joe.

Margo...you are missed!!

Linda S....my prayers continue for you....you are missed so much!!!

Now as usual I forgot who else I was going to reply to...I hate when that happens...I should take notes!!

I may attempt to put up some decorations today. I sure am not in the Christmas spirit.....for so many reasons. Maybe decorations will help. Things are really tough right now.....can't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish you all a wonderful day. Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d
