WHATS NEW ? ITS MONDAY

Yesterday Joe and I met up with George and Mary. what a delightful couple. We took them to Mels Hard Luck Diner....the servers are all up and coming young people that are trying to make into singing career. they will sing for you ..i forgot my camera but George got some picture of us together. ..
I dont know why i was surprised at how tall George is. for some reason i tought he was a lot shorter than he was. and Mary is a very lovely person.

Hey where is everyone this morning?   It's Monday and a new week filled with all kinds of possibilities!

Had a great time yesterday shopping with my sister -- we got some good bargains and I am nearly finished with my Christmas shopping.
We ate at Olga's - had a chicken fajita (mine, less the wrap) very very good.   My bad foot really hurt last nite from all the walking, but it was fun anyway and we had a great time of sharing.  The mall was not real crowded and road traffic wasn't bad at all.

Off to work soon, then some laundry this afternoon.  They are calling for some significant snow here on Thursday and Friday.....I can do without it!!!  LOL

Hi, glad you had such a good day yesterday!  We have an Olga's diner here in NJ--it's very popular and I love eating there.  They're temporarily closed, though, because the town is completely reconstructing the way traffic flows around there.  It's very good they're doing that but very bad that Olga's had to close while they're doing it!

It's Monday and I'm really pooped.  Our daughter left last night and I have a lot of cleaning after the holiday.  I'm planning to work a few hours, get to the bank, and come back and do the kitchen and bathroom floors.  Time to get back to the old grind and get ready for Christmas now.  I still have shopping to do, although probably not too much more.

Good morning, ya'll.

It's Monday.  This morning I cleaned out all the leftovers from the fridge.  Not a lot left, but now it's all gone.  Well, maybe not all.  I do have 4 pieces of pie left.  One piece of each kind.  I'm sure our son will be here for lunch today and want them.  Everyone was over last evening and pretty much cleaned stuff up.

Our trash company is gonna start recycling.  It's about time!  After living 23 years in OR  it was a shock to move here where no one recycles and they still have a 'smoking' section in restaurants!  Don't even get me started on sales tax (there is none in OR).

My DH has a appointment with our regular PCP this morning for the test for PAD.  His legs have really been bothering him.  I hope they can figure it out. On the way back I'll stop at the post office in the tiny town we go through and get stamps.  That place is never crowded and I can get in and out fast!.

The weather here is what I call 'football weather'.  Clear, cool and crisp.  I love it!

Good grief!  I forget that there are still some places that continue to have smoking sections.  I've lived in MD, NY and now NJ so I'm totally "spoiled" and won't go into a place that allows smoking.  I'm also surprised that recycling is just starting in your town too.  Best wishes to your DH for his doctor's appointment today.  I love cool, crisp weather too.  It's my favorite kind of weather!

How nice it is to met up with folks on the forum....I always enjoy having lunch with Carla.

I had a very nice, quiet, evening....went to sleep early....guess the whole week of craziness caught up with me.

Another "first" in my life..........after working on the lawn sprinklers till late in the night (well about 8pm), Matthew came in the house SOAKING WET.........I said let me wash your cloths right away.....so I threw them all in the washer....Well guess what.........he had left his wallet in the pocket and this is the first time I didn't check pockets..........so many papers lost (and a couple of important ones).  

I have some running around to do today in preparing for surgery on Weds.........have to return a book to the library, and get a new one for my recovery reading - need to pick up post-op meds at the drug store - and have to drop off Buddy's medical records to the new kennel (I always hate boarding him but have no choice at this time).

seems so many of us are losing someone we love and it makes me sad. scares me to death that my moms days could be numbered also....big group hugs here to all of us OFF'rs!!!!

was sleeping good for a change this morning and the neighbors dog is barking and howling....its getting old too!!!! GRRRRRR

got alot of rain last night...lots of big puddles in the yards here. the thought of snow makes me cringe.....it can come Christmas eve and Christmas day then get out of here and bring back the nice warm weather!!!!!

going to get the tree out today and put it up tonight when i get home from work. i work 1-6 today and 1-5 tomorrow and off wednesday. so looks like all the decorating will be done by then. have to make the cut out cookies that rick loves....have to LOL because since we have been out of his moms place he has gained some weight and is getting a belly now....LOL about time too!!! he is or should i say WAS so skinny!!! LOL got most of my shopping done for Christmas and just need to get a couple more things for rick and bandit and cocoa. wrapping is almost done too. got all my family taken care of and wrapped and its back in michigan with mom to hand out for Christmas. i won't be going back again so she said she would do it for me. saves me postage this way. ;-) would love to go back for her sake but can't afford it now.

well that is about it for me today...no news on mom yet. will let you all know when i hear anything.
