Happy Sunday Everyone!!!!!
I'm putting up the Christmas tree right now but took a break. I realized I hadn't ordered my 2009 Swarovski Christmas Ornament so I had to get on-line and order it. I've been collecting them for over 10 years now. My tree is done in all Swarovski Crystal and Baldwin Brass ornaments. I think it's beautiful.
Enjoy your lazy day!

do you "bury" some of the ornaments? i mean, layer them trhu the branches not all on the very outside? i learned that during my "Christmas Corner" (store) mgmt stint-(one of my very very fave jobs ever ever!!!) awesome! your tree sounds wonderful-pics?
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
I'm in the Christmas spirit, although it's gray and rainy and was foggy when I woke up this morning. Yesterday I put up my outside decorations, with some glitches ... first, I tested my lights and my trees and the deer that kept falling over last year ... they worked. Then I went to test the net lights and they weren't working, including one set that was still in the box (forgot about it last year). Then I plugged everything into the outdoor outlet and nothing worked. ... Well, I had tested everything on the outdoor outlet, and it worked, so then I was trying to figure out what was wrong ... went to the circuit breakers and tried to figure out which to push ... pushed the right one, I guess, because when I came back out and tested it again, everything worked.
So last night, the lights go on, except for this one strand of net lights over the bush (the new strand) ... I had tested and it worked fine, now it doesn't work. And the two light-ups in the window, the candle only lit up on the top, even though when I tested it, it lit up top and bottom. So I had to take that down, too and throw it out (I'm not going to try to figure out which is the burnt-out bulb). But the lights that are on are sure pretty. I have more to do today ... although how much I get done depends on my body, which is feeling like crap today. I'll start with the ceramic tree and go from there. Back, knees ... all hurt a lot. I'm sure the weather is playing a part in that.
Jeannie, sorry you are having to go through the feeding tube, but hope it helps you become healthier in the long run.
Karen, we had a "singles" Thanksgiving party where I worked in South Dakota ... it was very nice.
Anyway, have a good day. I have decorating, laundry and football on tap for today.

Hi Carla and everyone,
Lately, I haven't been getting to the board until the end of the day. I think this is going to be my pattern until after the holidays unless I can get my act together and come online during the morning. :)
Yesterday my son got out a lot of our Christmas decorations. We had an artificial tree and that went up yesterday. I miss the smell of a real tree but I have to admit that in our present cir****tances, it's a blessing not to have to find money to pay for one. I unpacked about half a dozen boxes and started decorating my house. I love this time of the year!
Also yesterday, my grandson had his weekly visit with his mom. It's always so good to see the little guy!
Today was basically a restful day. After church, I took the turkey stock out of the fridge (started that yesterday while my grandson was here) and added to it, making a soup. My son helped me and I enjoyed spending time with him. My DH worked on a little project--making a bread box. He loves to do crafty things with his power tools and has made lots of useful stuff!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
