What's New Wednesday?

Jo,

I know what you mean about grieving. I too am grieving ... I think about Margie at this time of year ... she was like my mom and a dear friend, and I would always call her on the day before Thanksgiving, or on Thanksgiving ... one or the other ... she died in July and I miss her so much ... she was in her 60s and died without warning; she had diabetes and was a kidney transplant patient, but was doing well four years out. Her body just gave out. I was thinking of her today and just now started crying again. So I know what you are going through ... I know Margie isn't my mom, so it's not the same thing, but it's some of the same feelings.

It's hard to move on ... your mom is there with you in spirit and with  your family at your dinner table and in the faces of your children and grandchildren.

I have nowhere to look for Margie.

Good Morning Eileen & Folks,

Just a quick drive through to say I hope you all have a safe holiday, for I know some of you might be hitting the road today.

Enjoy the holiday of thanksgiving and I know I have lots to be thankful for this year, some of which are the wonderful relationships I've found here, as a result of this life giving surgery and I say life-giving because before this, I was on the sidelines, now I'm in the living mode!

Best wishes and for those of you dealing with health, depression and family issues, I wish you peace and strength to get through these difficult life situations.

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Eileen and everyone.....

Eileen you are lucky...I normally get paid every other Thursday but because of the holiday the office being closed on Friday they don't get checks to us until Monday...same with the Christmas holiday...that really SUCKS!!!!!!  I think they should give it to us a day early...oh well...I can't really complain....I have a good job!

I have a few erands to run this afternoon then just relaxing and reading or whatever. I look forward to that time.....a quiet relaxing day tomorrow too.

I am thankful for all the blessings in my life....such loving and wonderful daughters and granchildren. Also...all of you here on OFF...there are many days it is all of you that keep me going...thank you!!!

Good morning, Eileen and my OFF family. I hope that you are all having a great hump day today.

We are going to Bill's cousin and girlfriends house for dinner today. I am not sure why but they both want us to come so badly. I would rather stay home and do what I want...which is nothing but what is a girl to do? So we go there at 3 this afternoon.

Tomorrow we are staying home and just having a quiet dinner with just the two of us. I am glad of that. I just don't want to go to any ones house and I just want a quiet day. I am tired and want peace. That is something that I am for sure giving thanks for tomorrow. I just feel like I have been going non stop and I am looking forward to tomorrows peace.

I have to go to Wal Mart today and get some of the stuff for tomorrow. Nothing much but just a few things. I kind of dread going there because I am sure that the whole city of Portage is going to be there getting stuff too. Oh dear! I should have went yesterday but didn't. If you don't hear from me for a few days send the troops in to Portage Wal Mart and maybe they might find me.

It is cold and dreary today. Kind of like a winter day if you ask me. I just want some sun to shine brightly and that just makes me and I am sure a lot of other people more happy and cheerful. It just seems like a tired day if the sun isn't out.

I guess I should get going. I have some things to do and before you know it I am going to be going to dinner. I am sending love and hugs to all and my prayers and good thoughts are going for everyone too. Make sure you spread some of the happiness and joy to others that might not have as much as we do.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

We are having Thanksgiving with the M&M's tonight because my SIL has to work tomorrow. Tomorrow I am cooking the meal.

Last night I asked Tom to help me with the back exercises. I can't get the correct twisitng motion without assistance. What a difference today. I can bend over and get UP again.

Kisses

Spent last evening getting Michael situated in the hospital and this morning waiting for his surgery.  Then after he was settled back in his room, I drove off to work, because I was scheduled to cover the office this afternoon.  I'll go get him at the hospital after work sometime.  I am exhausted!
I will make my bread-machine rolls in the morning tomorrow and go to my brother's mid-afternoon.  He lives about 20 minutes away.  They will make the traditional dinner, I'm bringing the rolls, and my sister is bringing pies.  It will be nice.
