What Are We Eating-TUESDAY?

A rough day Monday.....moving Mom to an assisted living facility..she looked so confused and forlorn when I had to leave...my eating plan fell apart...didnt eat much at all...just feeling so protective yet so guilty.

Mom is in a wonderful place ..it's THE place that everyone begs for but that's small consolation when Mother sits there looking lost. My HEAD tells me that she is in very wonderful and caring hands...my HEART tells me that I've confused her and she feels lost and abandoned.

Today I will try again to eat better:

B     Matrix hot chocolate protein drink

S     banana stuffed with peanut butter

L     homemade soup

S     cheese & crackers

D     planning chicken and brussel sprouts

S      cottage cheese w/ unsweetened crushed pineapple

SUPPLEMENTS:

multiple vitamin

iron

magnesium

VB1, B6, B12

Vitamin A

vitamin C

vitamin D

vitamin E

Omega oils

calcium citrate

1 fluid pill with potassium

Nancy,
It took Mom a short time to adjust. Her favorite time was when Tom would 'smuggle' in a bottle of beer to share with her. She had about a dixie cup full and would get all giggles and smile. Little did she know that we had the okay from her doctor and the staff.

One day the staff told me she had lead the afternoon singing group. It made me feel much better.

Hang in there Sweety. You have done the right thing.

Lunch - turkey chili? (may change that)

Oops, I forgot the last part, I gave the last piece of my caramel swirl pumpkin cheesecake to a friend instead of eating it myself.....
