Between my three dogs they're about 45#.  I don't think they would carry the turkey off, they would just dig in, frozen or not.  They're real chow hounds!
I can just imagine and picture them.  Brought a smile to my face today!

You made my heart glad and I chuckled imagining the scene you described!  I am thrilled that Pride and Macon have made bond already and seems the bond has included their human counterparts in you and Mary!

Hugs, Laureen

P.S.  I was in PetSmart on Saturday returning the doggie steps I had bought for Dillinger to get up on the bed, they were not wide enough, anyway, they had the Greyhound rescue people there and 4 beautiful greyhounds, what magnificent dogs they are. . .  I don't know what the future holds, as I often think after Dillinger is gone I will not be able to love any animal again, because inevitably there is such heartbreak involved, however, I guess my heart has been broken throughout my life in so many other ways, who knows, I know or think I know I will need time to grieve, but you and Mary certainly are examples of not allowing sadness to close the door on the joy of unconditional love in 4-legged packages. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Laureen, that is what so amazing about our hearts...they grow to allow us to keep loving. I know that Dillinger will always have a special spot in your heart but you will be able to love again and make a home for some other furbaby with love and happiness for both of you. Our hearts just keep growing and God made sure He made it that way.

Dillinger and you both remain in my prayers.

Thanks Brenda, Your prayers and support (along with many others here and on my PA board, as well as good friends I have in AA) have helped make this situation doable so far. . .  I have no doubt that God made time the great healer it is and gave us one another to be able to know that if they could get through it, the possibility is there for me to get through it too!

Hugs dear sistah!

George, that story is just so darn cute. I can just picture those little sweeties figuring out this escape. Our little furbabies just never cease to amaze us, do they?

I would say that they bonded well already........

That's hilarious, George!  Whenever we get home from the store, our australian shepard, Jack, starts sniffing in the bags we put down.  So... I can just picture the two of them!  Too funny.

That brings Dillinger to mind, I don't even get through the door, he is sniffing to see what's in there for me?  lol

They are so much like kids, aren't they.  Gotta love 'em!

That's funny ... You had me going there for awhile, thinking there were real thieves. Hey, at least they cooperated in their heist.
