What's New - SATURDAY?
hello! i've been here about 4 times and hadn't posted- now it's afternoon..
i have to share
yesterday was my last day at work- my choice- i'm really not sure if my office mates give a crud about me leaving? i don't think they'll miss me til grunt work or someone to poo on....when it was time at 1130 to leave; i put my coat on and almost just walked out-naw-had to say bye-be better than them. top it off micheal buble was on the radio at work "i want to go home"....i almost cried.....anyhow--began my new unemployment with some quick errands and a nap....
now- fresh new start! hahahahahahahaha
this morning, i got up maybe 6 am and went to the recliner in the living room with coffee in hand- sat by the light thru the window of the porch light and started working on a hat that i am knitting for me-got up maybe 730 745 to potty and shut the light off--there was a box sitting outside th entry door on the deck- a frozen (maybe 14#) turkey and all the fixings!!!!! some kind soul has turned our name into a food bank or dropped it on their own--we are so blessed! i cried- michael didn't have a clue what was going on when he stumbled to the kitchen....oh my!!!!!! we are not too proud; tho i know there are others who might benefit more; we are grateful!!!!
the hat starte dout as a joke- it's orange -like creamsicle ---i was knitting it for last weekend for hunting season to open up north- well- had about 4 inches done- tore it out today and restarted with some wonderful orange and other colors eyelash yarn fo rthe cuff- so it's now almost back to the 4 inches- maybe i'll finin**** tonite- need to find michael an orange hat too since we'll be up there next weekend!
so- cooked breakfast- dl'd some photos after a frantic search for
!) my cell phone cord (found it right where it belonged- michael evidently plugged it in and forgot to tell me-so i used the car plug for 30 minutes!)
2) the USB for the camera so i could dl the pics!( in a box he tried to send up north last weekend)
3) the case with the old memory card from the camera so i could dl( in my suitcase not unpacked from last weekend)
4)my brain--still MIA!!!
so i dl'd the pics that i wanted to send Baby's mom-the blue and gold that we recently added to our family- she is probl;y thinking we took her bird and ran...no clue what all has been happening here!!
went to the post office- a wonderful pin that i ordered self came! put it on my jeans' jacket along with a wonderful teddy bear pin and my gingerbread couple! i'm decked!
michael just tore apart the shelf thingy in the kitchen which housed his fish tank and the tv and so it will move more easily... and mom measured last nite; it will fit in the bird/computer room where i want it!!!
this house is really starting to look ucka like we are moving- i hate that part!
i need to finish some laundry and start some packing-not sure where to attack first---
tomorrow will be pretty much the same.
we're planning a trip north over Thanksgiving so we will do some work on the trailer but won't be able to take much-the 3 large birds and dog and us and clothes pretty much fill the car- i want michael to take the two outside bird feeders (tie on top of car) and poles up and get the digging done before the ground freezes up there so we can watch the birds out our new kitchen window this winter....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Nancy and all of you other OFF friends!
I'm procrastinating on the computer again. Thanksgiving is at our house this Thursday and I have plenty to do- we will have guests for a few days and the cleaning MUST be done! Yesterday I fell while on my way from the special ed class- they invited me to share their Thanksgiving feast...I hurt my knee... so I'm hobbling some now. That's what I get for running over to share FOOD! After I clean for a while I'll be going to mt daughter's house to babysit the Grand Puppy. Then she and I are going to see "Julie, Julia" - FINALLY! I'm looking forward to my week off... these are the fruits of being in education.
Laureen- you know I am thinking of you and that sweet Dillenger. My black Darla is heading down that path too - she has started to have accidents- pee and poop- luckily we don't have many carpets, mostly stone floors.
And everyone else that have more than their share of trials this month- I'm so sorry. Life can be a ***** sometimes, it sure can.
