Hi Carla, sorry to hear about your sister.  It's not easy taking care of someone else.  My mom tried living here with me for 2 months and it just didn't work out.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

nancy-OMG! as i started reading your post i too thought that the day was the stress test NOT that you were actually going for one!! mine pre wls was a horrid experience!!!!!
so great about the new home for your mother-and the Celtic music--ohh i wish i could have heard it!!!!

i have used AVG for years- i refuse to pay for norton's....

eileen-i find myself doing the drink the water thing when i overdo on cake or something- ughhhhh hope ya feel ok!

Morning OFF ...
   Well I'm off to school..TGIF!!!!!  I've been so busy.
  This afternoon I'm scheduled to see my surgeon again.  Seems taking out the gall bladder did not get rid of my mysterious abdominal pain.  Its back.  I'm terrified to go see him, cause usually when this bothers me, he gets stumped, can't figure out why and just stops listening.  Then he tells me he wants to send me to see a specialist in Bariatrics , but then never does.  Its frustrating and makes you feel as if this whole pain thing is YOUR fault.  Then he will suggest I see a shrink.  GO figure ..if he can't find a physical reason then *I must be crazy. 
  So I'm scared and feeling very nervous about this appointment...

I know for sure I'm "crazy".....I find myself talking out loud in the grocery store......the other day I was at Kroger and they had cottage cheese 10 for $10.....well, they were all past the sell date and I was commenting on it to myself.....I turned around and there was a lady watching me!   OMG, I felt so embarrassed.

Grrrr, it's so frustrating when doctors stop listening because they don't know what to do.  :P Can you see another doctor or do you need a referral first?    I'm sorry to hear the pain is back!  :P

Yes..stress enough for a bunch of me's! *s*

But Im so grateful that they finally put Mom on the CRISIS list and that it all moved so quickly.  I keep telling Mom how great it will be for her to not have to do her laundry or dishes or keep her room clean anymore...lol..she thinks that's wonderful (even tho it's been ME doing it the last year).

I know it will be traumatic for her but Im trying to keep her excited and happy about the move. Trouble is, she keeps forgetting now that she IS moving...it's a wonderful place and everyone wants to go THERE of all the facilities.

Nancy, glad your mom has a room at the place of your choice.  What a relief.  WOW, wonder you made it through your nonstress test with all the stress you've had - lol - good luck with it all.

I also use AVG free version and have for years.  I can get McAffee free with Comcast - as all Comcast users can, but I need to be mindful of how, if any, it slows down the platform I use for work.  AVG works just fine for me.

I'm having a Pouch Party tomorrow, and I'm hoping all show up who said they were going to since the gal doing the party drives up from Maryland.  It should be fun.  She's so creative and I love watching people cook.  I'll keep you all informed of the great recipes.

Hi Nancy , thanks for starting us off on a new day!

Glad to hear about your mom.  Things are looking up.  I also think it is wonderful they have pets and allow dogs up there.  I know it is good therapy and makes people happy to see them.  I was going to do that with one of my labs but never got around to doing it.  I think he might be too old and crabby now.  He would have been perfect.  He is such a happy dog.

I hope you get the band you want, it will make your mom happy.   I am sure.  I love Celtic music and have a few CD's that I put on once in awhile.  The music is uplifting. Makes me want to get up and do the jig! lol..

I started drinking two shakes a day and have lost three pounds this week.  My doctor wanted me to get all the protein in eating.  I just don't think I was.  I am happy.  I was in a stall for awhile.

WOW - I thought I've been having a busy week......you win!


I've got a busy day ahead of me........the landscapers will be here shortly to rip out the entire old lawn (dead weeds).  All the plants will be delivered tomorrow morning and put in tomorrow. (about 75 shrubs, trees, plants) and then the new sod will go down on Monday or Tuesday.  CAN"T WAIT for this project to be done and have a lawn!  My last house I sold I had an acre of pristine property with a park like backyard...It's killing me seeing no lawn and no plants... I'll be having a fabulous spring next year play in the garden again.

I also have to finish getting ready for my company. A friend from "back home" is coming for a week...she arrives tomorrow night.  It will be nice to see her and have company.  I've got her room all set up but I need to get a few other things in order and we need to go grocery shopping.  I have no "kid type" food in the house and I know her 10 year old daughter will not be interesting in all my organic healthy stuff.   I won't stuff her full of junk but I do need things like ketchup for the homemade chicken nuggets she likes, and dressing for her salad cause I don't think she'll want flaxseed oil on it like I do...LOL

I can't wait to see what if any surprises Matthew has planned for today (I'm talking about good surprises).
