Greetings, For the first time in a couple of months I am actually caught up here at work and boss went out to lunch so I actually got to read and catch up with my OFF Family. Carla maybe it is a good thing they put off your start date a little, gives you a chance to get better.
Margo I just know there is the perfect people for your house, I just wish they would get to you..THIS WEEK.
I am so mad at my land lord, I got a letter saying they were coming for an inspection, on the 25th!! That the day before Thanksgiving. I am a clean, but messy person, so I always feel like I have to do major cleaning before an inspection and I really don't have the time, grrrrrr. Plus I know  2 weeks later I will get a letter saying they are raising the rent and I am stretched just about as far as I can be already. No SSD raise this year or next, but medicare will be.The city has to put in some new sewer plant, federally mandated.. It will raise sewage costs, are you ready, at least $1200 a year, I think I pay about $15 a month itwill go up over $100 a month. Medication costs are going up and one of my major( and most expensive meds) will no longer be covered. If I take the time to think about it, it is really frightening. I so so don't want to move but I may have to . Oh well Christmas is coming and it is about time to start projects, I so love doing Christmas projects. I am in dire need of some copper tape and cant seem to find any. Well Boss will be back in a minute, better run.. So many of you are in prayers, weather you know it or not..

Well, another morning is just about gone. I don't know why I haven't been taking the time to post here, just haven't. Kind of into my "short, dark days of winter" feelings and it's early for that. Usually hits me after the holidays.

So I've been trying to brighten my days by doing small projects. Baking for the holidays (into the freezer!) Made chocolate/zucchini bread, pumpkin bread and cookies. All are in the freezer and packaged for gifts. Also, made little aprons for Hannah and Clara to use with their play kitchen.

I'm thinking about substitute aiding after Christmas. I don't want to stick with a schedule but find that I have a bit too much time on my hands. Can't afford to travel all the time, Mike is content to si****ch tv, or do crosswords. I am lonely even when he's in the house.

I checked on the aiding. Tho I'm certified I still have to be refingerprinted and background checked tho I worked for the same district for almost 20 years. $75.00 for the background check/fingerprinting. Also have to make two observations in special ed classes to make sure I'm prepared to do anything required there. I assume they mean toileting issues? I think I can handle that. Dirty pants are dirty pants right? And if they can't take care of it themselves someone needs to.

Also think I'll call the mission and see if they need any pre holiday help with meal prep. We'll have family here but I could sure help out before they arrive. Those things make me feel better too. Any other ideas for getting me out of the dumps would be appreciated!

Nothing else to report. Sending warm thoughts to all of you.

I've had a bunch of busy days in a row and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.  So I'll make this brief.  My 7 weeks since RNY have been going really well.  Work is challenging right now, as are my dear husband's medical concerns, but all is going OK.

I love reading about your lives and just wanted to post so you'd know I was still around!

Everyone sounds like they are doing what they need to - those with difficulties today are in my thoughts.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...
