What are we eating SATURDAY?

Hello, everybody!

Here it is Saturday already! I did some baking…..I made a double batch of Dutch honey cake…it’s like a quick bread…filled with cinnamon, cloves, allspice, ginger, walnuts, raisins and natural honey from my neighbours next door. Mom used to make it often so since I am going to visit her today, I will take her a loaf of it…she will enjoy that with her tea.

I will take some reading material to her, the honey cake, help her fill out her menus for the week, clean her room, wash her dishes and if it’s nice out, I will take her for a wheelchair ride outside to get some fresh air.

From there, I have some errands to do, including getting a funny birthday card for my BIL …they are having family over for coffee on Sunday morning…those parties always last til about supper time. I will take some of the honey cake there as well.

This is my menu for Saturday:

B Matrix hot chocolate protein drink made with low fat skim milk for extra protein (33 grams of protein)

S 2 hard-boiled eggs w/ LF mayo on multigrain crackers (12 grams protein)

L low fat cottage cheese with unsweetened crushed pineapple (34 grams protein)

S banana stuffed with peanut butter (6 grams protein)

D barbequed chicken thigh, spinach salad & carrots (around 23 grams of protein)

S homemade chicken soup (unknown)

SUPPLEMENTS:

multiple vitamin

iron

magnesium

VB1, B6, B12

Vitamin A

vitamin C

vitamin D

vitamin E

Omega oils

calcium citrate

1 fluid pill with potassium

Wow, your on the ball.  Already baking this morning?  I bet your house smelled good.

I don't have a menu planned out for today.  All I know is that it will have a banana and cottage cheese in there somewhere..lol

I take a lot of suppliments too, however I don't take vitamin B6.  I think it is in my multivitamin though.  I don't take the omega either.  With all the other medications I take it is hard to get my vitamins in.  I have to try and space them.  It seems I am taking pills from morning to night.  How about you?

Well I wish I could taste your cake.  It sounds delicious..:)
