Nothing too new in Minnesota. Helped give a shower for good friend's daughter having a baby last night. Lots of laughter and love. The food didn't even tempt me. My contribution was some of the game prizes ( I brought body lotions) and the punch (cranberry/tart cherry/gingerale) and brownies. It was all fun and a few games. We guessed baby pictures everyone brought of themselves and that was quite fun.
Today is for relaxation and a bit of housework.
Thinking of those of you with difficulties, worries,and mourning. Each day we have to just do our best. Take care.

Today is a special day for me. Our family has 7 November birthdays. We have one big family dinner to celebrate as a group then each family has their own at home.
I made a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and was only slightly tempted to snitch frosting..... but, I looked at it and said to myself.... no, it is poison to me and I don't want to be sick today. Now to get through the rest of the day.
I have a "special" friend flying to spend a few days with me. Love him dearly, wish he didn't live on the east coast.... sigh.
Rainy and drizzling today but a fun day for the family by the fire.
My heart goes out to those of you facing difficulties. Even small ones can trip us up. Prayers for you and huggs too.
Make it a memorable day
