Jo,

I'm sorry for the loss of your mom.  My mom will be gone two years December 7th and my dad 5-1/2 years.  I still miss them both.  We were very close and we spent a lot of time together.  It comforts me to know they are at peace and lived good full lives.  I hope you feel better soon.

Blessings,

Debbie

Jo,

I am so sorry for the recent loss of your Mom and it's a difficult thing, no matter how old they live to be, once their physical beings are not here on earth, it leaves a void.  My own Mom would be 74 this coming Wednesday had she lived, but she is gone now 8 years and while time has healed me of my grief, I still miss her, however, I look for the signs and often times feel her presence and that is a comfort to me and I hope that you can do the same over time.

Sending you gentle hugs and healing vibes, Laureen

A well deserved proud Momma Laureen.

I 'kind of' started Christmas shopping. I renewed Melanie's subscription to High Five magazine (Higlight's magazine for ages 4-6)

The female grand's are easy shopping but I find it difficult for the males in the family. The boys never have suggestions other than money or a car. A car is out of the question and money seems so impersonal.

Tom asked what I wanted for dinner last night. Pizza and wings, something we seldom eat, sounded good. Not the best choice for nutrition but sometimes I just don't give a hoot. Owl 2 wings and a small slice of pizza was heavenly.

good morning everyone

thanks for starting the thread laureen, and sounds like you are having a good weekend.

life here is still in the dumpers, mom is the same, very little reactions to my sister
and i when we visit now, thats so hard to deal with.  we started cleaning a few things
up in her apartment yesterday because she will not be going back there.  thats a
sad job as many of you who have been thru this already know.

the news on the home front is not much better. Hubby did not get good news from
the gastro doc.  he has a cancer in his lower colon and they also found spots on his
liver ( which worries me even more).  he is going to see a surgeon this week, and we
are trying to get him an appt. with an oncologist also per the gastro docs recommendations.

i wish i had some good news to share with all of you.  let me reach out and hug all of
you that need a hug, and thank you for all your support over the last few weeks.  i dont
post every day, but i try to read what is happening with all of you.

be safe and well, jacki

Hi Jacki,

As we live close enough to one another, please feel free to contact me, if you ever just need a shoulder/ear to bend. . .

Best wishes, Laureen

Jacki, I just wanted to jump in here and let you know that I am keeping you and your family in my good thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry about not getting to good of news for hubby. Remember we are here for you when you need us...we have broad shoulders and big hearts full of love for you. Take care of yourself....you are going to need your rest for hubby and mom.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
