Nettie,

Hoping that the doc gives you some relief from your pain, back pain is a b*`*h. . .

Annette:

Sounds like you need to see a pain doc like I see ... a shot in the spine will do wonders for you. I get them four times a year and usually they work very well. This last one, not so well. I think that's due to stress (from work).

Whine all you want ... you have to do it somewhere or it will eat you up (or you will eat because of it ... either way, it's not good). In the meantime, try ice packs and heating packs ... alternate. I know you've heard this, but I'm just reiterating it.

My back hurts today, too. I feel for ya, Annette, really I do.

Good morning everyone.  Sun is out again up here.
Margo, How are you going to get all of those birds into Hawaii?  Isn't there a quarantine period for birds?  I've often thought of getting a parrot, but they live sooo long and I don't know if I want that long of a responsibility--longer than kids!
George, I don't envy you having to let someone go, but business is business and in this day and time if you want to keep your job, performance is key.  No one owes you a paycheck, you earn it.  God will guide you.
Gosh, my brain isn't working this morning and I don't remember who else I wanted to reply to, sorry.
I made a new snack lastnight.  S/F chocolate pudding w/peanuts in it.  I usually like it with banana.
Went shopping yesterday, got a new bra, a new sweater/blouse combination and a used pair of jeans from Goodwill.  I wasn't going to buy anything 'new' yet, but the blouse/sweater looked so good on me I couldn't resist.  I also said I was going to stay away from black and go more toward color.  The sweater is black, but it looked so good on me :)  Then if I opened a charge at Sears I got $15.00 back, so I opened the charge, got the 15.00 and paid off the charge immediately.  Anything for a buck!  Well, almost anything.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Margo and George, have safe trips.  Praying for health and peace for everyone in need.

Good morning, ya'll.

I hope everyone is having a better day today, and all your problems will be resolved.  Hiring/firing, packing, doctor visits, etc.

I went for my 3rd chemo yesterday afternoon. It was supposed to be my first 100% strength.  Nope, not in the chart.  I said to the gal, remember the DR. was just giving me 40% cause I didn't wanna be sick for our trip to Oregon.  I'm back now.  She said, 'Oh yeah, I remember now."  But it wasn't written in my chart and the doctor wasn't in.  GRRRR.  Anyway, NEXT Wed. afternoon I see the doc before chemo, so I imagine she will get that straight.  It also did not show in my chart that I am starting radiation with another doc on Dec 7th.  Nurse says sometimes doc's talk to each other and it doesn't get in the chart right away, probably the chemo doctor knows.  I certainly hope all goes as planned for the radiation.  Our daughter has her ticket to fly out here for the second weekI'll be at Hope Lodge.  Our DIL has leave all planned for her week at the Hope Lodge with me!

I haven't seen our younger NC grandson since we got back because he has the flu.  I'm supposed to only be around healthy people. He has texted and called many times and misses us, and we miss him.  Actually he MAY just miss my cooking for him, and I miss cooking for him! His brother spent the night last night and I fed him his pancakes before he went off to his college classes.

We had an absolutely fabulous time in Oregon!!  Grandkids are getting so grown up! I did a ton of baking and cooking for their freezer. Our oldest grandson came up from Eugene with his fiance' and her 2 kids, and a few more friends we haven't seen in awhile.  But I was not the 'hostess with the mostest' I usually am.  I had made sugar cookies and frosting and had the kids decorate them.  I had made a huge crockpot of enchiladas, and a pie for dessert.  Everyone ate and we visited and after about 3 hours I was ready to lay my head on the table and take a nap!  They stayed another 3 hours.  When you haven't seen them in 2 years, you can't very well ask them to leaveso you can take a nap!  But I think Colleen (our grandson's Momma) could see I was tired.  SHE began getting up to clean off things and get the endless cups of milk the kids wanted and do the other little things I didn't jump right up to do.  I like her a ton and wish she was still one of my DILs.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Wow, what a nice description of family life, which conjurs up the way things were in years gone by, when my family was bigger and all gathered around. . .  now it is small and people everywhere, busy lives and well I make the most of it all and enjoy those around me. . .  thanks for sharing your visit, truly you have such a wonderful attitude within all you are going through.  Bless you. . .

Have a great day!

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning!

I'm having a really rough time at home but trying to work through it.  I'm hoping this challenge doesn't derail my healthy eating and exercise.  I think I'll do ok but need to focus on getting plenty of protein and water in.

Off to do some serious soul searching.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Take care!!
Ruth
