Good morning.  Yesterday started way too early.  AT&T woke me up to ask me if everything was working.  Two days before we had UVerse problems.  They told me they would be following up with a phone call, I told them fine, as long as it is after 1:30.  Guess who got a call at noon.  Grr.  So, since I was awake, I got up and dressed and Mary and I went to Applebee's for my free meal for being a veteran.

I did something that I do not like doing yesterday.  But it's business and I have to keep remembering that.  You remember last week I cut everyone's hours.  Yesterday I received a call from a guy who left 3 or 4 months ago, one of the top performers we had.  He wants to come back to work.  Of course I said yes.  Today I will figure out where to squeeze hours for him.  There are 3 people I really need to let go, but the boss does not want to because he does not want to pay unemployment.  These people have been with us at least 6 years each.  It has just gotten to the point where they are the lowest sellers probably 80% of the time they work.  Does not make sens to keep them.  I will see what the boss says today when I go in.

Mary took the car to the mechanic yesterday.  He says we have to fix a leak in the coolant system before we take our trip.  We should change our timing belt, because the car has 105,000 miles on it.  And the catalytic converter needs to be changed, but he said that can wait a few months with no problem.  So it looks like we will be able to take our trip in 15 DAYS!!!!

Later

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

george- i don't envy you the work issues...you do have to do what is best for the company..bossman should pay the unemployment in this trying time if he is going to bring someone else on board--he needs to suck it up--you have certainly done your part...

15 days huh? how many hours????j/k!!!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh   i think i may be human soon!!!!!!!!!!

gosh- so many things to say not enough time- ya probly don't wanna hear them all anyways! so-here goes!

michael's dr appt- we sat for half hour in the lil room- i hate that!!! but we love this doc! anyhow- his trigger finger has gotten worse- no shot this time- needs surgery-but-whoa-wait--we're STILL waiting on aneurism surgery..hmmm... right shoulder-(WC claim) is off work another 4 months- go figure! the man is losing his shoulder completely--grrrrrrrrrrrrr....left shoulder-doc can't explore it til we have aneurism repair...are we seeing a pattern here???? doc will write report for atty ( to add left shoulder to WC claim) but he is doubtful it will fly--anyhow- we are in God's hands on this one now! we've been blessed with a hearing officer who thinks and docs who see that michael needs help so maybe.....

my rental truck-sposed to pick up at noon-yea right! was 2:30 by the time i drove off the lot--not their problem!!! very courteous guy etc--nice truck! michael arranged to meet the gal for  the cage parts- leaving me no way to get to the truck place- the guy was fine about it--( i used the time very wisely at home tho!!!) so--michael gets the parts and stops at menards for the special screws to put it together -bought his 50# bag of bird food at Titgemeiers-timing was great! and comes home to get me-on the way to the truck lot we stop at tractor supply-bird cage has NO BOWLS!!! luckily found 4 and inexpensive!  we drive to the truck lot-again-guy was great- i took the truck to walmart-hey ! i needed some things for tomorrow's trip! and michael came home- assembled the cage -it took hours by the time he had feed bowls etc on it--are ya figuring time here?/it's 330 by the time i leave wally's--i get home and he is still working on the cage- so i start bringing boxes to the garage- by the time we closed the truck at 730 i had 8 whopping boxes in it!! whooo hoooo-NOT! i was working workin working but each time i walked thru the kitchen i was in michael's way of the cage--and i didn't feel like dancing! so--anyhow my toes even hurt!!!! closed the truck and was asleep by 8:10!!!!

i'm going in an hour early today and will leave an hour early-let's see if it helps me get packed- a 16 ft truck looks very huge with only 8 boxes in it!!!!!!

realtor called in midst of all this- (oh i DID manage to get muchos stuff gathered IN the house-just not IN the truck!) another agent wants to show the house saturday at 1 pm--ok- michael and roxie can leave --and the gal who loves the house wants to show her daughter on tuesday-no time set yet--ok- the gal loves victorians and they found a 1 story in fremont but she doesn't really wanna be IN fremont so am hoping this house(ours!which is NOT victorian)  wins out!!!!!!

AND i'm going thru withdrawal--when i say good morning tomorrow i won';t be back to you guys til probly sunday....

having said all that..i am sending hugs and prayers to all of my OFF family...i am so blessed to have all of you here-and i am so needy of you.... you listen to me, you support me, you laugh with me and you cry with me...please say a prayer for my safe trip tomorrow and that i have a full truck!!!!!

Morning Margo and George, and others to follow.....

Up and at 'em this morning -- have to work today since I took Monday off.....not used to working three days in a row, but at least I have a part time job, for which I am very grateful.

Good luck with getting that truck packed, Margo, and I'll be praying for a safe journey for you, and that the house showings go well while you're gone.

Got on the scale this morning - hadn't weighed for almost a week and I've been super good the past few days, well, nothing lost, but nothing gained either.   I bought some flavored water and when I got it home I found it has sodium in it.....dang, won't buy anymore of that!

Better get on the bike now and drink my green tea.

It's to be another beautiful day here. Enjoy the day wherever you are and be thankful for being alive.   God is good --- all the time.

Prayers being sent for your safe journey and of course the news that the woman who loves the house buys it and therefore sets you free of some of the past you are ready to leave behind. . .

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Margo, George and OFF friends,

Margo - what kind of bird do you have?  I have two ****atiels and an African Grey (Obi).  Obi, sits next to me as I write, saying "Go Ravens, woo hoo" she's SO MUCH FUN!.  Fred and Barney (****atiels) have each other so they tend to stick to themselves.

George - have a fun, safe trip.  I don't envy you with having to let people go.  That's tough.

I'm drinking a chocolate protein shake mixed with Da Vinci coconut and chocolate - what a YUMMY drink!  Other than that, I'm working, practicing piano, and then I'll try and get some cleaning done today.

I'm getting hooked on decaf coffee - never thought that would happen, but better than craving caffeine or, worse yet, food - LOL

Enjoy this Terrific Thursday everyone!

Debbie
