I haven't been an everyday poster or even an every other day poster.  But, I would like to take the time to thank all of you who have replied to my posts and answered questions for me.

Well, It looks as if the time has come,  I went to hospital admit yesterday and if everything is okay with that then I'll go in Tuesday for my surgery.  YaY!  It's been since June that I started this journey, and I know for others even longer.  I will post again hopefully before I go, but if not then I will come back and tell you how it all went down.  Well liquids on Sunday and Monday, so guess I better get the jello made up. :}  Did anyone have protein drinks the last 2 days before surgery?  They said I can also have those.
Take care everyone and a big group OF HUG to all    ~Joyce

Hi Joyce,

Good luck with your surgery. It is life changing in every way. Each and every day I look into the mirror and am still surprised that this hasn't been a dream and I'm still thin!

All the best to you for a very successful surgery.

Thanks Kathie, You look great, wonderful and I'm so happy for you!  Although it looks as if you have had your share of surgeries, I'm 60 and I'm thinking the only thing I will try and get later is a face lift.  Everything else I'll put it under wraps.  Sags and all. LOL   Maybe I can get enough of this weight off to exercise somewhat more.  I'm sure that doesn't help enough for loose skin,
but I'm on a budget. :}  Thank you for your kind words.   ~Joyce

I am really excited for you Joyce....it is so hard to be patient......this is a life changing event.....even though some of us can manage to screw it up to some degree....stay with t his board...that is the secret.....be accountable....I got in trouble when I thought I could handle it on my own...

the less you drink and eat before surgery the easier it is afterwards for you...just think of what  you would like to have in your bowels before they start working on them....it usually takes a day or so to move the stuff out of your intestines...so it will really be much easier afterwards....I had just clear liquids for 5 days prior to surgery.

Best of luck to you, Marti

You must tell Dr. P and Icqbal hello from me. I've not seen them for a few years....Dr. P is a good doctor.....
