OT : Blood work

Even though I did not have WLS I do keep an eye on my blood work...especially my cholesterol, blood count and iron.
I had blood drawn last week....the Dr just call to say everything looks good.

I'm waiting for the full report to be mailed to me but I asked for specifics on my cholesterol....I was disappointed that the overall number went up but as I look at the details it looks good to me.  I've been trying to lower my Triglycerides and LDL and raise my HDL....looks like it is going in the right direction but I've got to get that LDL lower.

Does anyone know why or how the total cholesterol can go up but other numbers go down??  I wish I understood this better.
