What's new Thursday?

Hi my OFF family:

I see someone is happy about the Yankees ... well, I've never been a Yankees fan (my father would roll over in his grave if I cheered for the Yankees or the Cubs). So I can't say I'm happy ... it was just another World Series to me, wasn't really cheering for either team (although if anyone had to win it, I would rather it had been the Phillies, but they won it last year).

Anyway, another baseball season is done. Now we can wait for February when pitchers and catchers report for spring training to start (I don't have the dates ... I'll bet George does).

Just finished my page for the day ... my one page ... also did one Grand Rapids page for Friday but couldn't fini**** because it's missing some elements. Just waiting for everyone else to finish up so I can leave. I'm tired. Didn't get enough sleep last night and only a half hour nap in the recliner yesterday afternoon.

So, what's going on with you? I need a paycheck deposit (it's not there) because today is payday, need to go out and get groceries and other stuff, got to pay insurance and other bills.

Chat away; I'll check back later.

Good TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING, Eileen...and OFF'r's,

I'm up.  Acid reflux... darn, that stuff tastes like grass.  Burns like heck.  Thought I'd never get it up. Thank goodness for Nexium and this little bottle of Maalox that I forgot I had.  Did find a little milk left in the carton.  Not sure why I'm doing that but now I'm hoarse.  Seem to be getting that a lot lately, hope it's not leading to something worse.  I'm keeping close tabs on Jeannie's ulcer.

Eileen, don't we get to celebrate with you next month on the end of your bankruptcy?  That will sure be a WOO HOO  and you have plenty to be proud of!!  You've worked really hard.

Not much going on in my life.  Award ceremony for grandson tonight.  Taking tomorrow off as a good friend's mother passed and am going to the funeral in East Texas. She doesn't know I'm coming and I've not seen her in over a year.  Not the greatest time for a 'reunion' but she's a terrific girlfriend and I love her dearly.  My sister may drive down with me.

Other than having a few little maddening issues with my body right now, I'm doing fine.

Take hugs if you need'em.  Pass'em on to someone else after you get done with them.

Janet,

Love your last line. It's a good one.

Perhaps it is time for a scope to see what the reflux is all about?

try about 2 tbs of vinegar in about a 1/4 cup water and drink that. Fixes me up every time. The vinegar neutralizes the acid....

Darlene,

Thanks for that!!!

My sister yesterday on the way to work on the cell, said, why don't you try vinegar.  Who'da thunk?

Hope you are doing well.  I worry about ya.

Oh Janet, I feel for you!

I still have reflux, even though the upper GI I had shows no evidence of it???  Anyway, I have woken up three times after aspirating acid into my lungs. I'm sure it's what mustard gas must have felt like to soldiers during WW1!  I take generic Protonix to keep it at bay. So much for rny "curing" acid reflux, huh?

I'm having some body issues myself. After 18 months of staying at 1 lb above or below 125, I have gained 4.5 lbs. Yeah, yeah, I know big deal. But, it IS a big deal to me when I have pants I can't get into!  I went too many years with three or four size ranges of clothes in my closet to ever go back to that, and I refuse to have it happen now. So, I've started walking every day, and I think I may go join a local gym today. I'll take one of those hugs you're handing out, and send one back your way, too!

Drive carefully to the East.

Love ya!
