Hi Guys, Its Sunday, What is new with you
Good November Morning!
It's very early for me to be here. You can be sure that I will head back to bed soon. I love to be able to get up during the night and still go right back to sleep when I go back to bed. I especially LOVE the luxury of not having a wake-up time. MMMMMmmmmmmmm! The cool weather makes for luscious sleeping!
I'm sorry to hear about your BIL's illness Pat. I remember changing my brother's adult diapers the few weeks before he died and that thinness is hard to see. I also remember having to be very careful with my fingernails because I truly thought that if I nicked him my nail would hit the bone underneath. It was amazing to me that he was as aware and thinking up to the very last day. It is so sad, I do understand. It sure does ramp up our own appreciation for life though I think.
I had a fun day yesterday- we went to lunch with cousins and BIL and SIL, then a college swim meet to watch our nephew swim, to dinner with good friends and then to a movie- "Zombieland" - it was a good movie- funny- I am almost amazed that I liked it! It's not scary, but funny. It's not "dumb" funny. I think it will do well.
Today (after my wonderful sleep) we are going to a birthday party for a friend who is 70 today. That is not until evening so housework and laundry are the other tasks for the day. I'm sure lots of you will be doing the same!

Halloween was pretty good yesterday. Our grandchildren looked adorable in their costumes. I hope they didn't get too wet trick or treating.
Today, I'm working for several hours and then I'm going to try a recipe one of my new friends shared with me last weekend, crustless pizza. Hers was excellent, and I'm hoping mine turns out just as good.
It's rainy/damp outside, so it's a good stay to stay in and cook and make the house smell good - lol

Not many kids out on the streets last night. Too bad. Halloween used to be such a bigdeal when we were kids. Too many crazies now days.
Today is my son and DIL's baby shower. Don't know why, but I don't really feel excited about giving this shower. Not really into it, but I'm really into having this new grandson soon. Yesterday I went to babies R us and bought the stroller and a video baby monitor. First baby and all, the kids need all this top of the line stuff. I'll get an umbrella stroller for me to use. He'll be 6 months old in June and I'm sure an umbrella stroller will work well at my place.
Gotta pick up some blue balloons from the dollar store to decorate with. We're not fussing too much for this shower for some reason.
Good luck with the second interview Carla. Give them your cell phone number so they can call you Thursday to tell you that you got the job and when you need to start! Enjoy Chicago. This may be your last trip for a while. :)

morning all! i was awake a few times and finally got up at 730 i guess...i get so disoreinted til we get to a bout a week from the change of clocks...
in the front yard today were a lot of grackles frolicking in teh leaves- was fun to watch- the jays are swooping and all the birds are enjoying the feeders....
there was a night fright or something in the kitchen last nite-that's birdspeak for they got upset about something-it woke michael and he had to look for the macaws- one of the ****atiels or two-lost a whole lotta tail feathers and there was some blood on the wall-a small amount so we are not worried- just don't knwo what the cause was.
our driveway is almost 150 ft long so trick or treaters don't come up to the house- which is ok cuz we are kindof scroogey at halloween- no lights on no candy to pass out--we sat and watched the few (bigger) kids walk by--i think my whole block was just a waste of their walking energy-specially with weirdo across the street- i enjoyed halloween as a kid but not when my kids were kids--not a fave holiday of mine as an adult...i did get text pictures of the two grands in their costumes and will see more pics today i am sure- and friday at work we shredded so i could watch the school kids walk by the courthouse in costume- cute! a lot of football players and witches!
in a few i'll make breakfast then shower- we need to drive out to lorain-alaina's second birthday party is today! so that takes most of our day up-driving 90 minutes each way for a two hour party.

Good morning to you Carla and my other OFFer's. Here it is November 1st...wow has this year gone by so fast. In just a couple of months it is going to be yet another year starting.
We went to the Halloween party at Bill's cousins house last night. He had it in the back yard and OMG!!!! was it ever cold to me. I wore my winter coat and sat in the tent with a torpedo heater (the front was open so it was not closed with the odor of the heater) and I still froze like a popsicle. We came home at 9:30 since I was so cold...and I am not sure how I held out for so long. Then on the way home I got a headache and I know it was from the kerosene odor from the heater. I never noticed it until I was on my way home. I took some Tylenol and slept well but it is still there just a bit.
I am staying home from church this morning. I just can't bring myself to get ready...I am just so tired feeling. So today is a day that is going to be spent here at home watching movies and just fixing something easy for dinner. Nothing exciting going on here...thank heaven.
The sun is out today...no rain! This is the first time that I have seen the sun for any length of time in a coons age! It would come out on occasion but it only stayed out for just a couple of minutes and then the clouds and rain was back. Dare I hope that today is going to be sunny with no chance of rain? I hope so.
Well, I am closing for now. I will check in later to see what is going on around the neighborhood....make sure that you have a great Sunday and know that I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone too. Share your happiness with someone else and make some happiness in their lives too.

Oh Brenda, a sunny day here, too and such a reason for celebration!! We only had 8 days of sun for the whole month of Oct! I feel like I'm growing moss or mold or something not meant to be on a human body!
We're headed back up to Heber Springs today. We went there when the SILs were here and really enjoyed it. Lovely little town full of shops to poke around in. They're having a Christmas on Main St today, so it will probably be crowded, but that's all the more fun!
I found out yesterday (two days after the initial info got to the salon, par for the course) that our dear former massage therapist is in her final days of her battle with a brain tumor. She is only 30, with a 13 yr old daughter. Christa's dad had gone to AZ to be with them and then bring his granddaughter back here to raise. Such a sad, sad situation. Certainly puts all of my gripes and complaints of the last few days into perspective.
