Ok Red, here I am!
Good early evening everyone!  yeah, I'm still alive.  This has been a crap month for me, shingles, gastroenteritis, shingles again a few days of GI something and now I think I am getting a cold.  Yeah, some cheese does sound good!  To top it off I started 2 online classes this week and the computer class of all things is kicking my butt.  I've used computers at work and here at home for YEARS and know how to do a lot.  Uh, huh.  Well eveidently I am too dorky to figure out how to do some of the stuff they are talking about.  I have spent every night 3-4 hours per night and so far most of the day today trying to get caught up and its only the first week!  The instructor is going to have a special class tonight online so we can ask questions etc, but we have a upgrade of blackboard that we are supposed to use and he's not that familar with it either!  My biggest trouble isn REMEMBERING what I just *l.*I read!  The history class seems to be going ok, I got that homework turned in anyway today.  I hope....
I'm going to go read some of next weeks history so that maybe it will start to sink in. HELL, I should remember half of it, I feel like I was there.....

Hi cutie......I'm glad you wrote more later. I always look forward to your posts. I'll bet your life has been crazy with this housing market the way it is. Peoples' lives are being ripped out from under them these days....our real estate section is FULL of foreclosures. If you want to buy something cheap in Hawaii.....at least on Maui.....this is the time to do it.

Halloween is sort of a nothing holiday for me since my grandkids are n the mainland and I'm here. There used to a a HUGE party in the streets of Lahaina with contests for best costume, etc. They outlawed the blocked off streets, saying it was getting too rowdy and risque with some of the peeps in the parade were almost not clothed!! My son and DIL went one year and had a blast....they took a boat from our harbor right here so they could drink and not have to drive home. They had a blast....I took care of the babies.!

I have a small bowl filled with mini snickers bars just in case, but I doubt if I'll have anyone come to my door. I called my son and talked to one of my grandchildren, Brocky, and he had a long story to tell his tutu about how he's going to be spider man and his brother brady, is going to b be Flash, and baby Zane (18 months) is going to be a skeleton. I said "baby Zane is too small to be a skeleton, and Brocky said in his own sweet little five-year-old voice...."Tutu, my mama and daddy got him a little teeny tiny skeleton suit that that just fits." He's getting to be such a big boy, and I can't wait to see all of them in January when I go or a couple weeks.

Staying busy busy lately......but enjoy the magnificence of Maui more and more every day. I hope all having struggles the best of outcomes, and that you all have had something to laugh about today. It's 5:00 p.m. on Maui, so it's already 11:00 P.M. on the east coast.....but I just had to jump in and say HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
