Thursday's what's new revue
The Social Services have decided that Jordan should visit his mother twice a week and Monday afternoon was one of them, and today is the next.
I don't know what goes on in these meetings, but I know Jordan is very unruly afterward, and acts out in school the next day. Tuesday, I was called by the school to see if my talking to him would settle him down, and if not, I needed to come and get him. I was able to calm him down on the phone. Another meeting with mom today.?????
Tomorrow is our Halloween party at school. I will be there and be able to see Jordon's class mates, and see how they interact. I know this will be helpful in understanding some of his problems with school.
I don't know how much I have told you (another senior moment), but as I was helping him do his reading assignments, it quickly became very clear, Jordan can't see. He needs glasses. I have gotten the quickest appointment I could with the eye doctor, Nov 25. Is it any wonder he is having problems in school if he can't see. How could he go through 4 years of school and no one catching this? Do they even care?
Well I hope all is well with all of you.....John Same time, same channel, next week.
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Can't you just wait until Obama gets everyone a Medicaid card and we all try to go to a doctor at the same time. What will the doctors say?
Good Morning Margo and Mary!
How are all of my peeps this wonderful Thursday? Can you tell that I'm trying to make this an up day? I've been taking Tylenol PM this week. It does help to get a better night's sleep (better, not good) but I wake up a bit rummy. These short, dark days will just get shorter and that always gets me. I start to feel like a mole and just want to burrow in and wait for spring to arrive. We go off daylight time this weekend; dark that much earlier in the afternoon. I'm one of those who would like to stay on daylight time year round.
Enough gritching. Starting to think about Christmas. Saw two adorable twin girl dolls somewhere last week. They even talk to each other. Thought they were too pricey, but I may just have to go back and get them for Hannah and Clara for Christmas. If I get them now I'll have time to make them blankies and diaper bags to go with before Christmas. They were just too cute. Think they were at Target.
While sitting in the bathroom contemplating life I saw a family of dust bunnies under the wardrobe. So guess it's time to get out the dustmop with a bit of Pledge on it to round them up. Also need to get the carpets cleaned. Maggie and her puppies seemed to have a "marking" contest between the end table and the couch the last time they had a reunion. Yuck! And I can't seem to get the stain out by regular means. Suggestions???
Not much else. Heading up to the gym to pay up for 3 more months this morning. Not signing any long term contracts as I tend to lapse when the weather gets nice.
Also thinking of a laptop. Suggestions along those lines? Want cheap and reliable. Is that possible? Looking at the smaller sizes about a 12 inch screen. Afraid the 10 inch Netbooks might be too small.
One positive note. I managed to lose 8/10ths of one pound while I was in Italy. Considering the pasta, bread, and cheese that was consumed not bad!
Thinking of you all and sending good vibes your way.

Spoke with my IT person about laptops, cause eventually I hope to get one, his recommendation was Dell or HP, said stay away from Toshiba.
Good luck. . .
