What's new Wednesday?
It really doesn't get easier in many ways....
Tomorrow is my 3-1/2 year checkup. Labs are pretty good. Ferritin level is low, but that's what happens when one puts those nasty tasting chewable vitamins in the cupboard and tries to forget about them. I brought them back out and am taking them. Guess I don't have to like them....
I've put on a few more lbs since I saw the WLS surgeon last. He'll be OK with it, but I'm not. This seems to be my bad time of year. Too many excuses to bake, which I love to do. Even more STUPID excuses to eat the crap!
Today is another day. I can do this.

My doc says the chewables absorb better. My reply tomorrow will be that they don't absorb at all if they're not taken. Hopefully he has an idea for a swallowable multi. I got the calcium citrate granules, and am doing OK with that. The citrate pills are nasty, even when I break them in half.
Guess I'm determined to just be a pain.....

Candy, I've been taking Vitalady Tender Vita-Min. When you even touch them with a wet finger the capsule starts to dissolve. They seem pretty pricey until you see that you just take one a day. I really like them. I'm also using the granules which forces me to do a couple of shakes a day or one shake and a glass of something else. Helps me get my liquids in. I did put one of my calcium citrate pills in a bit of tap water. It dissolved quite quickly so that's probably good too. Absolutely no from me as to any chewables or liquid calcium. Have wasted way too much money on those!! Like sucking on chalk!

I don't like chewables either ... they taste bad and they get stuck in my teeth, so I have to taste them twice. I'd rather swallow pills. My bariatric PA was trying to push the Celebrate chewables at my last checkup, and I said I didn't like chewable, do you have I pill I can swallow? She said the chewables were more absorbable. I said I'd been taking pills for five years and my labs are great, so what's the problem?
