I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi everyone!
I started shopping a little. Nothing major yet. Bought a few things and this year we might spend it in Florida. I have never been on vacation and my husband has off and we might go down there. Even though I hate snow, I might miss it for Christmas. Sometimes we don't have it here either. My son will stay home and I feel bad about that but my daughter will go with us.
Plans are still up in the air, hoping we have enough money to do it. My in laws will be going also. They have a condo in Ft Meyers.
I love Christmas and it seems all the preparation and it is over in a flash. I usually keep my tree up until after New Years. For some reason I am ready to take the decorations down by then. lol
Even though we may be in Florida I will decorate the house. It would make me feel better knowing my son has a tree to look at..
I love Christmas music and mus****ch Alber Finney's scrooge a thousand times, that and a Christmas story.
I love those movies.
Well it will be here before we know it. Have to get through Thanksgiving first..lol

I love Christmas too, but I do not listen to Christmas musi****il after Thanksgiving ... otherwise, it would drive me crazy. I have my limits. I do put up my stuff after Thanksgiving (well, we have rules in the condo complex ... no outdoor decorations can be put up until after Thanksgiving and they have to be taken down after New Year's Day, or the condo police will get you ... there are no real condo police, but there are the busy bodies and nosy nellies that have nothing else to do but spy on their neighbors). Last year, because of my knee surgery, the outdoor decorations were up longer ... I'm surprised I didn't get a phone call!
I do like to have all the lights up ... I enjoy seeing the whole house lit up even if no one else sees it but me. It lifts me spirits, and especially this year, my spirits need lifting.
As for Christmas shopping, I shop all year round and squirrel the gifts away. Luckily, I have small list ... especially since last year we are only buying one adult gift in our family (and then for my mom). Which has really helped my budget. Then we buy for the kids (grandnephews Ben and Sam). And I also buy for my brother Gary, we still exchange ... but we keep it to $20 or $25. Our one adult gift is no more than $50. So there's less gifts to buy, but also less gifts to get ... which is hard but more realistic.
