What's new Wednesday?
I have been bothered by a tooth that I recently got a crown on. Problem is that they did not do a root canal and probably should have. I have been in pain since last Thursday. I did not call them until Friday and received no call back. Of course then the weekend and nothing because nothing is opened here on weekends. So Monday I called again and they took me in Tuesday. They did an xray and said it looked good. I said it didn't feel good, I was in pain. so, they made me an appt for Thursday! I am dying here and the best he could do is give me a script for pain meds. I have left over from my surgery nearly a yr ago. I hate pain meds. Last night in the middle of the night I was up in horrible pain. I finally took one. I slept in this morning and missed my work out. I didn't get up until 5:30. I got to work on time but forgot my breakfast and lunch. Luckily I had a banana. Every day has the potential to be the best day of your life. I don't think today will be it.

Good morning, ya'll.
I so know what it is like watching your Momma go downhill. You want to help, but can't.
My chemo begins this afternoon. I am so tired of being tired! This journey of chemo and radiation is gonna last 6 months. Hopefully next summer I will feel more like my energetic self!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Please just take it easy and give your body the rest it needs to get through this unpleasant experience you are having. I have not gone through it personally, but have witnessed family and friends and you need to rest in order to heal your body as it is assailed by the medicines and radiation treatments that will deliver the one, two punch to the cancer cells. So when you can rest, try to nourish yourself as best you can and we will be praying for good news when this 6 month period is up.
Hugs

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Grammylew, just make sure that you rest. I remember my own treatments for breast cancer. Drink LOTS of fluids and let your body rest as much as possible. Consider these upcoming six months as an investment to a new healthier life after.
Radiation is exhausting and if you are very fair like I am, you might get burned as well. Ask your radiologist if you can use baby powder or corn starch to soothe the burn. They dont want you to use lotions on the radiated skin at all.
You can do this!! *sending extra energy and healing *
