Susan,

That's terrific and to get credits and paid!  Woo Hoo!

P.S.  Thanks for your response on my post this morning, you know you are right, I am definitely a different type of person, being a native New Yorker and all, not to mention I am not a Phillies fan (lol)!

Good luck on the magazine gig!

Laureen

Good for you!  Hair stylists are hard--working and making others feel good all the time.  It's nice to get that kind of validation.  My sister is a stylist and she is heavy and on her legs all day and sometimes that really hurts her.  I  wish she could get the surgery, but unfortunately, it's excluded in their insurance.  Her co-morbidities should make her eligible, but they don't.

Sorry, didn't mean to digress.  YOU are fabulous and will do a great job for them.

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I've had this surgery.  It has made such a difference in my work. I remember I used to rub into my client's arm when I was doing their hair, and the perspiration would just drip off me. I walked like I was 90 my feet hurt so badly, so I know what your sister is going through.

Sure wish she could find a way to have rny. Stupid ins companies!

Aloha and WAY TO GO GIRL!!

It's very early here and yours was the first post I clicked on, and what a wonderful way to start the day! You have come so far babe.......and you deserve every bit of this honor. The sad part is that we all know that we have missed many opportunities during our fat years, and wish we could have had this surgery much sooner.

If you feel your bones hurting, it's ME sending you a gigantic bear hug!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
