What's New Thursday?
It was a toss and turn night here. The cats were crowding me off the edge of the bed, my knees ached and Tom snored loudly.
I bought a BIG bag of honey crisp apples. They are my favorites and the stores run out of them first.
Nothing too strenuous planned for today. Puttering, painting piggy banks, and reading a book. My kind of day.

Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
Our long weekend with the grandkids was wonderful. I didn't want to leave them. Hopefully we will see them at Thanksgiving, if not, then it will be Christmas.
Hubby is home sick from work with a terrible cold. He took Nyquil and was sucking cough drops all night long. I don't think he got much sleep. I'm crossing my fingers he doesn't give it to me.
Tomorrow I leave for my maternal cousins weekend whi*****ludes my sisters too. All girls weekend. So fun. I'm wondering if I should bring some cold medicine with me. Darn. I don't have any symptoms . . . yet.
Trying to clean up our back bedroom/office. I store all my Tiger Cub Scout things in there and it's gotten so I can't find anything anymore. I've been using those moving man pads to push the furniture around. I'm feeling it in my back today.
Trying to stay on track with my eating but I don't know how I'll fare this weekend.
We discouraged our son from doing any underage drinking but knew it would most likely happen anyway. We told him if you drink, tell the people you are with that you are an overnight house guest, call us so we aren't expecting you and don't get in a car. He's 34 now with a family so he made it through. There is hope . . . this too shall pass.
Here is a big ((((HUG)))) to all that need it.

Tiger Cubs....wow does that bring back memories. Both hubby and I were very active in scouting and our troop. I was advancement coordinator and I don't remember what he was along with being an assistant scout master. I think scouting is a wonderful program. Both of my boys achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and I'm really proud of them. It has even helped both of them in securing employment. Keep up the good work Bev. Those little tigers need you.

Hi Jan,
I love, love, love working with the Tiger Cubs. First graders are so enthusiastic and not yet jaded toward life. Our pack is unusual in that we meet every week and have den meetings every week. It is a great program. My son is an Eagle Scout too. Tiger Cubbing started in 1982 and that is when my son was in first grade. I haven't stopped being a leader since then. I don't know if you're familiar with this volunteer award, but I have the Silver Beaver for my service to youth in Scouting. I've done Council fundraisers, training and events. My husband used to be Camp Development Chair but his knee and hip replacement meant he had to retire from it. My husband and son got so much out of Scouting that I love to give back.
Thanks,
Bev

I do know the Silver Beaver award. Our Scout Master was awarded it also. I absolutely loved scouts and it kept us engaged as a family. I even went camping with the boys, when my hubby couldn't make it. My oldest son and his buddy at college both got the eagle scout patch tattoo'd on their right upper arms. His buddy now works for BSA. Great organization. Thanks for giving back.

Good Morning Eileen and all of OFF!
yeah, I'm back again, twice in less then a month! HA.
Just thinking shingles were getting better and felt sort of decent again when BAM Tuesday night had a PPI board meeting (I'm staying on till end of year) at a restaurant, came home and got sick. I'm the only one so it wasn't the food. HMPH. same gastroenteritis mom dad and I had in April over my vacation. How joyous. NOT so much. Anyway, am feeling a bit better today. yesterday was pretty much a blur. sleep, drink (or try to anyway) sleep, watch tv or compute, sleep.....you get the picture. Not sure why I have been getting so sick so many times this year when I went for years with out hardly getting sick at all. Maybe I do need to go back to those high powered (expensive) vitamins. That's about the only thing that has changed! geesh!
Not much new with me otherwise. I took a pre test yesterday for the online course I am taking starting on the 26th, computer class. I did ok for a pre test I guess, 72/100 right and fortunately that doesn't count for the whole grade. The thing is I can dive into apps and figure them out with out too much problem, its the nuts and bolts stuff I could care less about! The instructor said to figure on 15 hours per week for this course. I'm taking 2 courses, if each are 15 hours that's almost another full time job! eeks! Guess I may have to give up face book and all its apps I use! LOL! I do seem to waste a lot of time on there with mindless activity farming, farming, yo'ing and paradising. I'm going to try to do some reading ahead with these classes and see what I can do to work ahead a bit. Maybe that will help. HA. Again quetioning my ability to do this. I'm 57 years old, do I really want or need a degree to be happy? It certainly will not at this point benifit me financially, just allow me to get a better paying job should I decide to look else where especially if I get my NI certification.
I'll try these classes and see what happens.
Take care and hope you all have a great day!

HI everyone,
George, sorry about the coach. What a shame. I hope the family will be ok. My prayers go out to them.
I know it seems everyone is up early today or having problems sleeping. This morning I did not have that problem. I slept really well. Very sound. I am thankful for the deep sleep. I feel good today.
Not planning to do anything major today. Maybe dust and do laundry. It seems my laundry pile never goes down. My dryer is acting up too. Oh oh.....
Went to walmart yesterday. They just made it a super walmart here. I love it. I don't know where everything is in it yet. SPent way too much money but that is how it goes. I see something and I want it. I have to stay out of the stores.
I hope everyone with any problems has a better day today. I hope it will be less stressful and all can take time to smile some part of the day.
Have a good sleep tonight... and don't work too hard today

Nothing major going on here today either. Gotta get something in the mail for my daughter's birthday, wash rugs and hopefully show my spare room to another prospectve tenant. Got new books from the library yesterday and requested a few more. Doing a little clean up after our big storm. Sunny again with temps in the high 70s today.
Had great labs at my one year check up and I'm off three meds that I had been taking. So thankful for my surgery and good health.
XOXO to all, CV Linda

Good morning, Eileen and my OFF siblings. I hope that your day so far is good. Mine is just another Thursday....nothing good nothing bad so I am happy.
Kayden is napping and Bill is just walking around muttering to himself. Is there any question as to why I am going nuts? ha ha
I went to the doctor yesterday and she upped my anti depressant. I took the first stronger (doubled) dose of it today. She told me that she can raise it some more if it needs to be. Then she told me that she might have to find another one if this one doesn't work. I am on Paxil...is anyone on that one?
Ds brought Kayden this morning and when I asked if DIL was picking him up (like she wanted to yesterday but I told him that I had a doctor appointment..and get this one...he asked when I would be home! ha ha!! I told him that he would be better off asking me when the world was coming to an end!) and anyway, he told me he didn't know. If we didn't hear from either him or her by 12:30 then he would be here the regular time. So far nothing.
It is cold and dreary here today. The temperature a bit ago was 37 so it is cold out too. It is rainy judging from the wet on the patio too. I hope the temp doesn't go down enough that it starts to snow. I am not looking forward to that one thing of winter! Even though the doctor told me yesterday that if we got a snow my allergies would settle down but the thing is I have them year round so what is the difference anyway!
I better get going. I have to read on about what is going on around here since I posted one little tiny thing yesterday and never got back here again. I made a effort to get here before I got ready to go to bed! And I did it!!!! YEA!!!!
Have a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for everyone too.

Busy day today. I drove down state, stopped at the lab and had my blood drawn for my 3 month check up. Stopped by DH work and took him to lunch, went to the bank, the dollar store, my DIL's mother's house, the post office, got a car wash and went to Meijer for a new pair of jeans. I couldn't believe I bought a size 14. When I saw my hubby today he asked me if I had his pants on....he said the seat was really bagging and they didn't do anything for me. I tried on probably 6 pairs of jeans and finally settled on a pair of mid rise jeans. No more baggy butt for me.
Waiting for DH and DS, DIL to get home from work so we can go out to eat. Had a cup of chili for lunch, nothing for breakfast (fasting blood work) and now I'm hungry. Don't know what I want, maybe chinese. That sounds really good to me right now.
Don't know how much posting I'll be able to do, because tomorrow we go to Chicago for DIL's graduation. We'll have a doctor in the family now! A Psychologist. She's going to have a rough time trying to figure us out that's for sure. :)
Take care everyone. Hugs to all.
