ps. I have a 42 year old son, so I speak with lots and lots of experience. for Mother's day one time after he was married and has two darling children...he sent me this poem by Rudyard Kipling, written by hand from him. Even though they can't say it at the time, they feel the love.

You are right.  I do know this.  I got an email that was for me just as sweet as the poem.  He said, "I love you Mom."   I also heard from him today and he is feeling better both physically (he has strep) and emotionally.  Life can be tough growing up.  It is hard to remember that sometimes.  Thanks for taking time out and reminding me.

No giving him up.  this is one of the rough times.  My boys are 27 and 30 now and thank goodness, I made it through with them.  you will too and you know it.  Frustrating times are part (a big part) of parenting.  We all get through it.  Give him a hug when you see him.  He probably needs that right now.

You are right. He could use a hug.  As I said in the above responses, DH is going tomorrow to see him and the car and look for lawyer if needed.  I am sending brownies since I can't be there.  Thanks for taking the time to encourage me,  It is appreciated.
 

Been there, done that so I know...

Morning Eileen, Carla, and all:
I am up, showered and dressed - drinking my decaf green tea and checking e-mail and web sites. 

Don't normally work today, but it's birthday celebration day at work and I wanted to participate so in to work I go, with my famous homemade  oatmeal cookies.  Made enough for the upstairs crew too, so there weren't too many left here for me to eat -- my bad.

This afternoon I am working the rummage sale at church from 1-3.   Also we have a funeral dinner at church and since I am the Coordinator I will check and make sure everything is ready for that.

Go**** will seem strange to have a Friday off, but I need to clean the house and wash towels, as I am going to a LWML Fall Rally on Saturday.   Busy, Busy, Busy!

Carla, do you do "counted" cross stitch????  I have tons of patterns.
Let me know what you like and I can send you some.

Better get a bite of breakfast now.   Prayers for all in need, and for those who are missing from our board.

Yes I do counted cross stitch. When I come up to Chicago we should get together and do a stitch In or afternoon!!!!!
I love Flower patterns, whimsical, and all kinds of patterns. I tend to do the easier patterns. I dont like doing 1/4 stitches or 1/2 stitches.
Now I am working on a small cornicopia and the variations of the brown is making me nuts!!!!!

I've done a lot of counted cross stitch in my days.  I put it aside a couple of years ago when my eye sight worstened.  Now I use readers.  Maybe I'll get back into it again.  I'm mostly into reading books and checking these damn forums and facebook!  I could actually spend all day on this computer.  Ughhhhh

If you ever need floss, let me know.   I have a whole box that a lady gave me when her store went out of business and she couldn't sell it.

When I did the dog picture for my grand daughter it had more than 35 shades of brown......drove me up a wall!!!   Turned out beautiful.  Wish I had taken a picture of it.

I don't like 1/2 stitches either.....

You would love going thru all my books and leaflets!

morning eileen and OFF family....

well its yet another dreary and cold morning here  in ohio...BRRRRR!!!!!!!!! calling for rain with some snow mixed...YUCK!!!! leaves are still TRYING to turn and fall off the trees yet so come on snow go away!!!!

made more flowers yesterday while i did the laundry after i went to the bank for more quarters....times like that i miss my own washer and dryer!!!! sighs but anyhow i think i have enough flowers for about 1/2 an afghan made now so MAYBE i will start hooking it together soon. i have alot of dark color flowers and also some pastel colors ans some with several colors in them too. i am going to hook them together with white and i think that will look pretty with all colors. hope i remember how to hook it now...LOL

working today 1-9 and then tomorrow and saturday 8-4. not sure what sunday brings yet but i am sure it will be 8-2 or later. new schedule comes out today.

george so sorry to read that the coach was found dead in his truck. my heart goes out to the family.
