Probiotic Supplements

Hi Mary, I was just looking at the Vitamin Shop. Do you get  the PB Acidophilus 120 capsules?

The ones I bought are Vitamin World Brand green lid with green and white label. It says in small letters Super Potency and then in large letters on the label, Probiotic Acidophilus, it is 1 Billion active cultures. There are 100 in a bottle. I have a card for Vitamin world and my price was only $6.99  a bottle.
It says nothing about refrigeration. If I had to keep them in the refrigerator I would forget to take them.

Mine only says to keep in a cool dry place. I'm like you if I have to keep them in the refrigerator I might forget to take them also.

I checked out the puritan's pride.  Buy 1 get 1 free of 250 capsules is $13.49 + 4.95 S/H.  They have 100 million of the active Lactobacillus Acidophilus.  Some have 1, 3, or 10 billion of the active stuff.  Don't know if more is better or what, but 100 million sounds like a safe place to start!  It's probably called Acidophilus Probiotics in the stores ...

Jan, this sounds great. I bought some at CVS that have 500 million live active stuff and it was 10.99 for 48 tablets. I don't know how much is enough or how much is to much.  Maybe someone can let us know. Thank you Jan, Judy

I just ordered from puritan's pride the 3 billion one.  I don't know if you noticed, but all of the labels I read say 'refrigerate after opening'.  Just an fyi  Two bottles of 100 each cost me 19.94, whi*****ludes the S/H.

That sounds like a good buy. Where did you go to to find them? I just looked at mine and all it says is to keep in a cool dry place.

I was told not to use softgels or capsules after bypass surgery.  I was wondering which one they used in the study from Sanford.  Does anyone know?
