TGIF, It's Friday, What's New?

I am up too early too.  Since surgery last week, I'm a bit sporadic with sleep.  Good thing I'm home so I can nap here and there.  I'm feeling good, though the liquid/pureed stage is getting a little monotonous.  The good thing is that when I return to work next week, I'll be on soft and can bring tuna or egg salad or cottage cheese, etc.

We are going to coffee with the locals from OH board, a small group of them.  Then later on Saturday, the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) posters are getting together for a Swapkins (clothes swap) and I'm planning to attend.  I don't have much to contribute, but will enjoy having a few things waiting for me for the next size down.

mary- a word of caution--on the tuna/egg salad idea-careful of any fats in the mayo or whatever you use- early out especially could cause some issue--not to scare you but take it easy!
sounds like you are doing well and napping is great for anyone's soul!!!!

Boy, it's rainig here, too. We're expecting up to 6 inches over the next 8 hours. The drive to work should be interesting, at least. I'll check out that link later, but I have to get moving a little early today because of the rain.

Busy day at work today, that is if the rain doesn't keep people away. It's been very slow the last couple of weeks, so I'm hoping everyone shows up!  I'm in serious need of $$ after paying our property taxes yesterday....ouch!!!

We went to the Chinese Buffet last night. Our surgeon gives us a card for the children's menu or at least a discount but I never use the card. It just doesn't feel right. They never charged me EXTRA for all the food I used to eat.

I went shopping in a nice consignment store and bought a little black skirt for two dollar. It will look good with black leggings and black boots. Add a red sweater and it will be perfect.

Time to hit the shower and shovel on the make up.

Seems like you have a really cool job!  I like the Century Shadow Dancers....I'd like to see their show one day. 

Sounds like a lot of us are getting the same crappy weather.  Rain rain go away...  After a gorgeous month in September, we're making up for it in October.  Makes me just want to stay in my sweats and veg all day.  Yesterday I had good intentions of making a fire in the fireplace, but never got around to it.  If it clears up today I'm going to go out and pick up all the branches that have fallen.  We had quite high winds the other day and many branches fell so they need to be cleaned up.  Gary would be out there right now doin it, but I don't like cold and damp....
I think today I'm going to go to Walgreen and get a RX, go to Sam's and get gas and a rotissarie chicken and visit my 93 year old aunt in the assisted living place in town.  I've been away since she was moved there, so I haven't been to see her yet.  She's got all her faculties, her body just isn't working well anymore.  She's happy to sit in a wheel chair now rather than try to walk with her walker.  It's almost as hard to see her not being able to move about as it is for Jacki to see her Mom not comprehending.  I don't know which is worse.  Prayers for you and your Mom Jacki.

 Good morning all. We have a housefull of kids this weekend. We have cut about 5 cords of wood & I get to stack it in the woodshed. I hope the kids help with the other 5 cords. Already turned on our wood stove! Well I best get going or DH will go without me!

its sort of chilly and raining here today...another yucky day to say the least...sighs

got to work yesterday got my schedule and woohoo i get an extra 4 hours!!! yippeeee atleast i will bring home over $200.00 the following week!! also when i got to the food court i noticed a note taped to the dipping dot freezer....telling melissa how GREAT it looked after she cleaned it out...wow...did i get any note on the chest freezer after I cleaned it out??? NO!! do I ever get ANY good job...well done judy after i bust my a$$ cleaning up after everyone??? NO!!!! just makes me so angry when that happens...someone else does a little cleaning and THEY get all the GOOD JOB ETC....sighs I NEED A VACATION!!!!!!!!!

talked to phyllis last night. her mom is in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. please keep her in your prayers and thoughts or what ever it is you do. thankyou!!

guess i will get my shower now and see if that helps my aching body....hips, knees and back are killing me...bought some tylenol arthritis and it seems to help so will take a couple of those also. rick has been giving me back rubs with some hot cream and that also helped some. maybe its this chilly rainy weather that i hurt all over huh?? or is it just getting OLD???

ok i am out of here...have a great day and keep warm if its cold or keep cool if you are where its warm...and if its warm where you are please send some of that to us that are cold....;-)

It seems like a lot of you live up north.  I hear about the cold windy weather.  We did have some rain last week but it has been sunny mostly since.  Today it is supposed to be near 90.  I am actually ready for some fall weather.  If I could send some warmpth, I would.   We do get a winter here.  It just starts a bit later.   It is not like FL or anything, warm all year.  yuck.    It did snow 3 times last year.  Not once over 3 inches and it melts the day afterward.  The whole town shuts down when it happens.  We do not have salt trucks at all.   Our county does have a plow.  yup,  just one plow.  We just don't need it much. 
There are 3 festivals this weekend.  We had a Spot Festival (Spot is a nasty tasting fish) 2 wks ago and last weekend there was the big Shrimp Festival.  This weekend there is the Mum festival,  a Mullet (not the hair cut heh heh the fish) Festival and there is supposed to be a third festival somewhere near by.  I guess I will be going to the MumFest.  It is the biggest and a lot of fun.  Not much else going on.  Family and friends are all well thank goodness.  I will keep those who are in need in prayer,  Have a good weekend and stay warm and dry.

This weekend...tomorrow is our bariatric support group meeting. Coming in to town early and do some shopping at Resale stores.

Hubby is going 4-wheeling up north so maybe I'll take in a "girly movie"
It's suppose to not rain so I'll do some walking and riding my bike this weekend.

I have gone completely excited about my upcoming cruise in November. 9 days cruising to 5 different islands. Will go totally crazy trying to fit in all the stuff the cruise ship has to offer. Plan on doing dancing every-night.
