My three year surgiversary
Hello everyone,. Can I share my good news with all of you?
Yesterday was my three year surgiversary. I've lost 120 pounds - that was 100% of my EBW - (it took me 16 months to lose all that I wanted) and I've kept it off! Hooray! This surgery has been a true miracle and blessing. I was fortunate to have no complications and no real problems. I had one excruciating three-month stall, but otherwise my weight loss happened much the same as we all came to expect. Some weeks I lost a lot, some not so much, sometimes none at all.
My Vitamin D is low, and I am supplementing it pretty hard. Otherwise, my labs are good.
Plastic surgery is next, but I'm still debating about how much to do. As I wait, some things have tightened up but the bat wings definitely have to GO!
It may seem odd, but I go to Weigh****chers every week. I've spend so much time (and money) at WW over the years that I've gotten to know the instructors, the staff and the customers quite well - and I LIKE them. I weigh in every week. I'm a lifetime member, so it is free. A lot of the behavior modification they teach seems to apply to me, but I don't follow their food plan (It would be too much food for me now)
Just had to document this important day somewhere! Thanks for listening!

And thanks for the note about WW. I've been a member of WW on and off since I was 17 years old, so it's just old, comfortable, familiar territory.
They've approached me about being a leader. There are enough post WLS folks around here struggling with maintenance that it might be an interesting experience for us all to learn from each other.
