I can't believe I did this! My schedule was all off for meals today. I started out good with 1/2 a serving of wt control oatmeal. but then we left to go to a city two hours away. I did not bring anything to eat. So when we got there I told my husband I needed to eat. But all we could find were fried food-fast food places and I really am trying to stay away from bread and high fats (they give me really bad gas).
Well, we stopped at a grocery store and I got some cheese slices and ham at the deli and ate those, but I was so hungry by then (3pm) that I at too fast and then I was nauseated for an hour. I really hate that.
We came home and I ate 1/2 Cup of chili for dinner and a SF fudgesicle. But I was still hungry and did not feel good. So about 2 hours later I made a english muffin and put butter and jam on it. I am shocked that it did not make me sick. Normally that would. But it put me high on calories for the day. I usually stay between 800 and 900 and today I am at 1200.
I just can't believe I did that.
Thank you for letting me get that off my chest. Tomorrow is a new day and I will recover from this small set back.
I am a comfort food eater from way back and being over 3 months post surgery I have found that trying to eat for comfort will make me have a low level nausea and abdominal pain, a mild dumping syndrome. This is teaching me there is no comfort in food.
