Something's Wrong. Or Not.

Something is DEFINITELY wrong.....

When I started losing all this weight 3-1/2 years ago and was sorting through my big clothes to donate them, I noticed there were no sweaters or sweatshirts and very few really heavy coats/jackets.  I was always too warm, and I never wore any more clothing than I could get away with.

This morning...not even October yet....I put on silk longjohn pants, sweatpants, my bra, a man's strappy undershirt, a long sleeved t shirt and a thick sweater that comes almost to my knees (a leftover from pre-WLS).  I'm also wearing wool socks and warm slippers. (At least they'd be warm for most people...My feet are freezing.)

Just for giggles (yeah, right!) I opened up my closets and there, on the shelves, I found STACKS of...you guessed it!....sweatshirts, sweatpants, and sweaters.  (Thank goodness for thrift shops!)

If I thought I'd be able to move my arms, I'd add a few more layers to what I'm already wearing.

I'm COLD!!!!  It's 52 degrees outside, it's been raining every day for almost two weeks, I'm too cheap to turn on the furnace this early in the year, and I'm freezing!!!

I'd even welcome a hot flash right now!

It's funny.  I had a good idea what to expect after WLS...the food issues, the water, the dumping, even the foamies.  But I didn't realize how much I'd be freezing off my skinny little ass!

"Skinny little ass".             Life is good.

I'm gonna go get my blankie and a hot cup of coffee and read a book.

Everyone stay warm, and have a good day.

So, are you able to bend your arms with all that on? I bet you're a sight!

"They" say the problem with our being cold all the time improves with time, but I pretty much stay cold, and I'm the only one comfortable during the summer. People hate me for it, but they don't realize how miserable it can be.
Sometimes in the summer I have to go outside to get thawed out.

It sure doesn't get as cold here in AR as it does in Buffalo. Maybe you should move here??? We have prisons, too. Lots, in fact. LOL

Just a thought. You'd be closer to the Southern Sistahs, and Annette could come too! We could crank the heat up to 80 and all be toasty together

I was never, ever cold before I had this surgery...  Now I bring a jacket everywhere I go.  I can't dare go into the supermarket without one - I would freeze in the dairy aisle!  I think that my RNY change my internal thermostat

I am always cold too.  What I wouldn't do for a hot flash.  Some days are better than others, but with the weather changing here in Iowa, I have been really cold the past few days.  Sweaters are my friend!
Stay warm!

Me, too ... I'm always cold. I always sit under my afghan (of course, in summer, I still hate hot weather and prefer to sit in air conditioning if it gets above 80).

Right now I'm cold ... last night I must have had a hot flash (even though I'm on HRT) because I had a sweatshirt and sweat pants on and had to strip down to a T-shirt and sweat pants. Last night I slept with the window cracked open. But by the end of the night, I had to close it because it got cold here (it's 54).

Candy, are you liking your evening hours? I always liked working 5 to midnight.

I'm actually enjoying the new shift, 3p-11p.  I'm getting more sleep, waking up naturally (no alarm clock) about 8 am, snuggling with the kitties for a few minutes, and am up and ready to go by about 9 am.  I'm actually getting things done before work.  I used to come home at 5 pm, put on my pj's, and vegetate all evening.

I think I made a good move.

Candy,

I got out the longjohn's today also. Cold Breath Can you move with all those layers?

Marcy was coming to visit so I made Tom light the kerosene heater. Couldn't have TWO frozen women in the house.

HE is still in shorts and flimsy shirts.

I wouldn't trade this cold for all the fat which used to keep me warm.
