Starting new journey
Well I had my wls on Friday and came home from the hospital Monday. I could have come home Sunday but they wouldn't release me until I passed gas, so I had to stay an extra night. I had a good surgery and have had no problems since coming home, except the total lack of hunger makes me wonder if I am getting in all the liquids I'm supposed to have the first two weeks. Well my journey has begun and I'm anxious to see what the doctor says next week and how I do with the weight loss.
Congratulations and a speedy recovery.
You will be fine if you follow your doc's instructions. Sounds like you have it together already.

Congrats on joining us here on the Loser's Bench. If you follow the rules given you by your surgeon and do your part, the tool works it's magic. Enjoy the not being hungry part of things, for some it lasts a long time, for others, such as myself, it returned rather quickly, but the tool kept it simple to eat only what I could and so I've done well and I'm looking forward to your being part of this great board and sharing in your Wow moments.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

thanks for your positive comments and yes I am a quilter. In fact that's one of the tools I plan to use to stay out of the kitchen. Just stay in my sewing room and quilt. I'll exercise and hopefully complete some beautiful projects. I haven't done much recently but I am hoping to get back into it. Are you a quilter?
Welcome and congratulations on making the decision to change your life! The lack of hunger is normal. I'm about 9 weeks out now and I've only felt hunger a couple of times. I make myself eat or have a protein drink, because I know I need to get the liquids and protein in, not because I'm hungry. I could probably go all day without putting anything in my mouth. It's an effort for me to drink when I'm not thirsty, but I have to, so I do. It's an effort to remember to take my three calcium tablet a day, but I have to, so I try. As long as you follow your surgeon's orders you'll do great!
Are you a quilter by chance? Quikthimble?
