Happy Humpty Dumpty day!! Sheesh! I thought I  was never going to get on!!! I tried for over 2 hours. I am going to do some reading on here,so I can refurbish my soul.
Today I had 1/4 cup of beans,1/4 cups raw carrots...20 gold fish,I will eat better today!! I have a lot of non eating going on,I am not feeling a lot better ,I know I must do something so I will do a shake (soy). My system is not working well!
Times like these make me so happy to have protein shakes!
Just being here makes me happier,I am sure some can relate!

Hiya Debbie,I am eating my cracker and whipped cream cheese,I feel a little better, then I am going to lay down.
I can not say as a former over eater what it feels like. Your menu will grow...you will be amazed at the changes though. I am learning indeed what it feels like to eat to live. I also have those days when my appetite is glorious,I look forward to my appetite returning,
That is why it is wonderful to have us all here,no matter what stage we are in.
Keep doing great!
Hugs!

My first scrambled egg post-op was just divine.  It was pretty funny to get so much enjoyment out of such a simple thing!

Jean,

Ahhhhh, my mouth would LOVE a scrambled egg right now - lol

Last night at my support group, they had a chef who prepared a very delicious-smelling, healthy dish.  Chicken Florentine with scallops and spinach inside.  He rolled the chicken breast, baked it, and then served it with marinara sauce.  It smelled wonderful, but I couldn't taste any of it being so early out.  I do believe one of the first recipes I am going to make (when I am able) is this one!  People in the group commented how delicious it was.

I'm doing good, just waiting for next Tuesday when I can have my first scrambled egg - LOL

Have a great Wednesday!

Debbie

I am gonna eat some now!

Greetings Favorite Friends,

I just boiled over my oatmeal in the microwave.  I usually use the stove top but today decided to micro..... ugh, won't do that again.

Today is the first day of school here ! ! !   I will need to get "princess" up in a bit and start the early morning routine.  A new schedule for me is in the works.  I will try my best NOT to go back to bed but take a power nap after lunch.  I was able to sleep in until 5:00 a.m. today... wooohooo

After I drop her off at the bus I plan to walk to the park and around the lake.  That will be about 1 1/2 miles.  I need to get back into some sort of excercise.

B  boiled over oatmeal w/ fresh peach   2 bacons
S protein bar
L chili w/cheese & onion
S fruit
D ?? chicken tenders with seasoning  veggies etc

Have a fun fun day
Millie

Good Hump Day to you, Linda! I hope that you start to feel better. I know what it is like not to have an appetite. It stinks when you know you have to eat but still just don't want to.

Food yesterday was pretty good but the protein wasn't the best. I know that I am going to have to do some shakes and I am most dreading that. I hate them...in any form! But I have to get more protein in there is no two ways about it.

B: Wheaties and milk
L: onion sandwich on toast...yummy!
D: roast beef and some potato
S: pretzel sticks...I hope this craving goes away but I love it too!!!!!

I am done with the I.D. doctor now. They discharged me yesterday and told me to have a great life. I took a long hot shower and just couldn't bring myself to get out of the bathtub! I told Bill that I will never take a shower for granted ever again. It was heaven for sure! All I have to do to my tummy now is some Neosporin and a band aid. I am not sure how long that is going to go on...no one told me. I am just going to take it a day at a time.

I go to the doctor this afternoon for a follow up with the carotid artery ultrasound and the antidepressants that she put me on. I am not sure they are working since they are extended release....I feel a bit better but not that much and I have been on them for 2 weeks but they might take longer...up to a month.

Bill was discharged to go back to work by the w.c. doctor. He called and told his Operations Manager and he said that the paper had to be faxed to him. We took it to Bill's boss' house last night and she is faxing it in this morning. I hope that he can go today and then we would have a 3 day pay check next pay...better than nothing at all. I know that he is ready to go back to work...even though he likes being home and going fishing.

Kayden is here and is sick. He is doing a lot of coughing. I told DS Monday that he is coughing and he said that he fake coughs...I told him that these are not fake coughs. This morning he comes and says that DIL is making an appointment for him because he is sick...oh really? I know they don't think I know anything...but boy would they be surprised at the things I know....about a lot of things! ha ha  I am sure that you know what I mean about that last remark too....

Have a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you. Prayers are being said for you and yours too. Spread the joy and happiness around where you are....and you will have some come back to you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
