what's new -Sunday

Morning everyone
  We had a fun day yesterday with the new kids.   Seems gramma is raising them and doesn't have much money for any extras so  picnics and Zoos and the electronic show and train shop with train ride was all new and fun!    What a great job gramma has does with these delightful kids!      Day ended like many others with storms and lots of wind and rain.  
Quiet day here.  early church this am and later a  hospital visit to kids gramma and lots of embroidering to get the squares done for my baby quilt. 
I do some genealogy   haven't met any new cousins but found some interesting people in my moms family   including a hanged horse thief,     scandalous  old maid way back in earliest America *****fused to marry and  lived with a brother and taught school her whole life!

Hi everyone. Just your opening line made me grab another cuppa coffee w french vanilla FF creamer in it! LOL

Sundays are busy here for us, two services per day. We came  home and had gilled chicken salad for lunch. Mike went to take his Sunday siesta while I do some computer work. Our Spring Cantata is next Sunday and Im just now writing the narration,,it'll be fresh off the press! All the choir songs are learned and tonight is the final practice, so we are ready to go.

Im not into geneaology but my youngest son is. He is always sending me email addresses of long lost relatives. LOL
One thing I did on my own though was find my sister that has been out of touch for almost 30 years. I finally found her in Evansville IN, three hours from me! We are the only family she has, she has been living alone for years thinking we were all gone. I called her,,and we have caught up with a few visits. Now she is making plans to move her as soon as the apartment in the assisted living complex comes open. We are hoping for June. It has been so much fun getting together, swapping stories and pictures. She is thrilled that she has so many nieces and nephews! Im thrilled to have family other than my kids! I thought I was all alone!

Its another beautiful day here, 8o degrees and breezy. Storms comin in tomorrow sometime I heard.

Not much else to post about. Life is good, and I am thankful for that.

Hi Margo, I'm glad you had a great time and discovered a long lost relative.  Sounds like everyone else is busy too.  That's a good thing.  When I reflect on what is written here, my gosh, where is the senior board???  This couldn't be it, these folks have such busy and productive lives.  Maybe someday we'll have time to be seniors.

MusicMama facinates me with her involvement in Cantata's....  I'll have to have a cup with her soon and find out more about that.

Annette you must feel great putting on last years clothes.  I wonder if we ever quite get over being haunted by nothing fitting?

We'll went had some entertainment today.  We bought a treadmill.  There was a good sale on them at Big5 Sports and we hadn't planned on it but....  They were priced around what the used machines are going for.  So we did it.  My husband said it goes so nicely with our antique bedroom furniture and the silk draperies.  Oh well, some things must be sacrified to be healthy.  We put it in front of the french doors so they can be opened and the wonderful air enjoyed while you travel.  I am hoping this does not become the world's most expensive clothing valet, and that with everything else I'm doing it becomes part of the new life I plan to live.

Well, that's about it for today.  Tomorrow morning bright and early I have an appointment at the surgeon's office for my pre-op physical.  All the tests are done so this is it as far as having to do preparatory things in the medical universe.
