I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

You sound like you've had a great weekend, Margo. How awesome to meet a long lost cousin! Bet it made the whole trip worthwhile.
Another beautiful day here in Central AR. Low 80's, low humidity, thank goodness and not a cloud in the sky. Birds are at the feeders, and Baxter is sleeping next to me. Doesn't get much better than this.
It's going to be a pretty quiet day here. Gary's busy listing books for garage sales onto amazon.com and I have Saint Bella to work on. Jeff and Tess are coming over later in the day to start loading items onto our etsy.com account, so keep your fingers crossed that we might actually have our internet store going soon. I know I've said it before, but maybe this time it will happen!
I have to figure out what to do with some of the more delicate products that contain lots of butters (mango, shea, aloe and such) now that summer is coming. We might not be able to sell some of these things when it starts to get really hot...don't want folks getting a gooey jar of melted oil! So, one more thing to research and think through.
Okay, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and you are doing something fun. Take care!

Good morning, Margo and my OFF family. I hope that today is great for you.........and Margo I hope that you have a safe and wonderful journey home. I know it must be exciting for you having met a cousin from so far back in your linage. I know that when I talk to my cousins that we have found and they go back just a couple of generations......it is such a joy. You feel a instant connection to them. I guess the family part of you is always there even if you never knew it. That is just such a fantastic part of the whole journey of genealogy. I am just starting it and I love the feeling. I remember when I first found the census that listed my mom and her family. I sat and cried knowing that it was my mom that was listed in that form. It was my family....and they were all part of me and even though they were all gone but one now they were there and a family unit at one time. I never knew them as a so called family unit living together in a house. It is amazing to me that feeling you get. I know just what you are talking about.
Today is church and a dinner to follow. We are having a brain storming session after dinner to help find out what direction people want the church to go. Our new Pastor is planning on putting us on a new path and I think that is fantastic. He is truly a breath of fresh air for us.
I have to pack my bag for in the morning. I have to be at the hospital at 7 a.m. and surgery is set for 10:45 a.m. I am ready for it and that is a good thing since the darn thing is here now. If I wasn't ready I better hurry along and get ready! I am not really nervous about the whole thing but no telling what the morning is going to bring.
The day here is just is......no sun but no rain either. The birds are chirping and singing so that is a good thing. I am guessing that spring is here now but last night you sure couldn't tell it. It was so warm and sunny all day yesterday.....it got to 75* and it was gorgeous. Then I walked into Walgreen's to get scripts and when I walked out it was cloudy and windy and cold. I am not sure what happened but something did while I was in there. ha ha It kept getting colder and colder as the afternoon went on. Then we got thunder and lightening along with the rain. I guess rain is part of spring! You would think that I knew that........oh well.
I got to spend time with Kayden last night. I finally got to see him with his eyes open. I sat for a long time before Carol would let me hold him. She told me that she didn't want me to wake him up. I just didn't say anything. I already told Bill that we are going to have to bite our tongue with some of the things they do. Ella told me that they have to with their grand daughter too. I explained it to Bill and he told me that they are going to do things that we might not like but it is their child and they have to do what they do. Then she told Kayden Grandma must give her kisses so he can get ready to go. It was another time that I whispered in his ear that Grandma loves him. I am waiting for that time Annette mentioned to me the other day. That one time when I whisper it to him he is going to respond and then I will melt. He is such a good baby. I was with him for a couple of hours and not one cry out of him....he is just a wonderful little one. I got some more good pictures of him. I told Carol that I was never going to be one of those Grandma's that took pictures all the time and showed them to everyone and guess what....I am! I even showed pictures to the ladies at the florist who did the rose for the alter for him this morning. BTW...the rose turned out beautiful. It has leather (I call it fern) and babies breath and a little sheer light blue bow all tied with the red rose. I about died when she told me that it came to $10 since the blasted rose was just $1.49 itself. Oh well, Kayden is worth it. I am going to press it for him for later on.
I better get going. I have been going on and on for long enough. I am going to miss all of you so much. The days are going to go by slow without my family to talk with and spend time with. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers for you are going up even when I am gone from you for a short time. Have a wonderful Sunday and stay safe and don't forget to spread some joy and smile pretty!

Good Morning. What's up with OH this morning? I had trouble replying to your post, Margo. Finally, got it so I can type but instead of just having a cursor, I have a litle hand in the reply box. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue today?
Finally feeling better. My husband and I have been passing a virus back and forth during the month since we've returned from CA closing up his mom's house so that the property management company could get in there to make necessary repairs/renovations to get it ready to rent.
It was a heck of a trip. We had everything scheduled down to the minute -- but we made it and got everything done and the house was completely emptied when we left.
Now, we are trying to sell her brand new 2009 Yaris. It has less than 1K miles on it. We've currently got it on consignment at the local Toyota dealer. Someone is going to get a really good deal on a brand new car.
I've been checking in daily but just haven't felt like posting.
Have a great day today, everyone.

I had a mini WOW moment. It was sunny and warm so I dug out a pair of last years capris. For the first time (in maybe decades), last years clothes fit.
Before WLS, each year meant a larger size. That was depressing. Along came WLS and I continued to shrink. That felt darned good but expensive.
there was a twinge when I wondered if they would be either too big or too small. Yeah, this body image thingy still haunts me. You should have seen my silly happy dance after pulling up the capris. Voila - perfect fit.
I won't get all ****y; maintenance is also an adjustment. Too much food and there WILL be a weight gain. Not eating the correct foods causes weight to come off. Maybe 'balance' is a more correct word.
Kisses
Annette

Isn't it amazing to actually have clothes in the closet from one year to the next that fit?? What a concept!!!!!! Who knew
If clothes did fit from one year to the next, they were usually stretched out or had the inner thighs rubbed thin.
ahhh, the bad old days, glad to be rid of them!
BTW, thanks for the push from another post. I went out after reading you say you were washing windows and got mine done. It's going to rain tomorrow, but now at least I won't have MUD running down them.
