a half a year ago today...

...i embarked on the journey of my lifetime!  On October 27, 2008, I had the VSG and today I am so very pleased to report, I have a new lease on life!  Literally.  I am down 79 pounds (I so wanted it to be 80 for today but "oh, well")!  No--Absolutely no- prescription medicines or machines to weigh me down!  Yesterday I shared with a captive audience at my church how this has proven to be the miracle I needed to reclaim my life.  I was informed that an automobile tire weighs 20 pounds!  If that is the case, six months ago I was carrying around the equivilance of 4 car tires everywhere everyday!  No wonder I was dying.  No wonder I was crabby!  No wonder I didn't like my own company!  Today I am in so much gratitude for this journey and for the wonderful people God has placed in my path (YOU!) to cheer me on, to give me love and support and to add a new dimension to my life.  Thank you God and Thank you All for being there for me!

Hi Marie?  Isn't this the best though?  Thanks for sharing your joy.  I am so happy for you.  I will celebrate my "half" year in May.  It's been quite the journey so far.  Just like you, I am so thankful to have found this support group.  I cannot imagine NOT having all these wonderful people encouraging me along and boy all the information I've gotten from all of them.

What a beautiful story to have shared with your friends.  Sounds amazing when you put it in perspective of four auto tires!  It's hard to pick up even one!  I hope to have the same success story to share with people one day.

Aloha Marie.....I am so happy for you! You made me laugh when you talked about car tires. It reminded me of how I equated my weight loss at first. It was boxes of kitty litter. Many weigh 20 lbs. and I would think, OMIGOD, I have lost TWO kitty litter boxes....and they are HEAVY!!

Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration for many.
