Good Morning Its Friday!!!!!April 24, 2009
I sympathize with your sunburn, Carla. I've been there many times myself. Have you tried lotion with aloe? I remember that used to help me. Have a safe trip and a wonderful time with your family!
Annette, Annette, Annette....what a state of affairs! I can't believe that animal control won't take charge of the situation. What are they there for?
Tonight is another T-ball game and the weather will be wonderful. Warm day here in southeast MI, grass is getting green, daffodils are blooming and the sky is a pretty blue. Just my kind of day.
I wish a wonderful day to you all.
peace & hugs, elaine
on to your destination.

Quiet day here NO CAR! my van started weaving yesterday so I took it to the mechanic and he said tie rod ends were bad and that is bad! So I called my sister and bribed her into taking my mom for her picnic. Didn't take much of a bribe, couple $ for gas as she is terribly broke and some computer help as soon as I am mobile again and can get up there.
Ouch on the sunburn. I'M one of the lucky ones who fry peel and fry again .
I thought I was weird with 5 cats!! Well 10 right now but we have a feral stray with 4 babies in right now. Mama is going back outside this weekend and the babies to their new homes. That's better than 4 more feral cats out side, 3 are females so that is 3 not making more babies for me to find homes for or more feral babies.
Have a good weekend everyone.
I know just what you are saying about the sun burn. I am (or I should say use to be) a redhead and I still have the coloring of one. I burn so fast. I also take meds that increase the sun's burning so that doesn't help. I can be out in the sun for 20 minutes and have blisters and that is just flat out no fun at all. Make sure you take care of yourself.
Annette, I am so confused when it comes to people who do the things your neighbor does. I know that they have big and warm hearts but OMG....enough is enough already. I just have one.......well , Misty is sometimes enough work for a ton of them....and it is a job keeping up with her at times. I just don't understand how you can give them the attention that they want when you have so many of them. I just can only imagine the stench that hits you when you walk in there. Just make sure that you take care of you and your health. No matter what you promised to who if it comes to the promise or your health there is no consideration...it is you health. Just please don't compromise you for the cats.
The day is nice and sunny. It is suppose to get warm today but I am going to wait and see. I went to the doctor yesterday and put on my jacket but when I got out there it was warm. I had been cold in here so I thought that it was chilly out......I have a feeling that today is going to be the same way. ha ha
We didn't get to see Kayden yesterday since I had so much trouble with Harriet Hernia. I got that taken care of and then most of the day I had to recover from that. What a day. We are planning on seeing him this morning before Bill goes to work. I just can't wait. I am taking my camera and then hopefully someday I will be able to put them on the computer and post them for all of you to see. I will keep you posted on how the visit from Grandma and Grandpa goes with my grandbaby. Doesn't that sound like a piece of heaven? My grandbaby! I can't wait to get a hold of him and smother him in Grandma kisses.
I go to the funeral home this afternoon and spend time until tonight. My bff father in law died and he is having his wake and prayer service today. I know that Ella was with me all through my Mom's and so I have to be there for her and Rick. Rick is Bill's good friend and he can't be there since he is at work. I personally couldn't stand her father in law (but hen again not a lot of people could....he was one man that put a different meaning to the word mean!!!) but she must be there too so I am right by her side. I just dread funeral homes and most of the time I beg off but not this time.
They are cutting the grass out in the subdivision.....they just went past my patio door. I really don't like it when they do that since it gets so loud you can't even think at times. But the lawns look so nice when they are done. I guess it is worth it. It seems like you know that spring is here when you see people cutting the grass. I saw the first person doing that on my way to the doctor yesterday. Now I smell the grass that he just cut and it smells so good. Now I KNOW that spring is finally here..........HOORAY!!!!
I wish everyone a great day and I am sending love and hugs to all. Prayers are going up for everyone and don't forget to smile........it takes less muscle to smile than it does to frown. So......take that frown and turn it up side down!

Carla, use sunscreen! I know everyone likes a good tan, but it's not safe ... you have to protect yourself. And I know, I burn so easily. I burn through car windows, I'm so fair. After getting a bad sunburn in Florida in 1983, I have used sunscreen all the time. SPF40. My problem is finding something that's unscented. I go through the drugstore and sniff everything ... I know, I'm weird.
My body doesn't like me today, either, and I didn't walk 3 miles ... just through Meijer yesterday. My knee and back hurt a lot. Didn't hurt that much yesterday, but today they're not feeling really good. Plus, I have a bit of a headache. Don't know if it's sinus or migraine ... It's a beautiful day out there, 64 degrees and climbing, but windy, so the pollen is blowing. I'd love to open the sliding door but don't dare. Plus, they're mowing the grass, so the grass pollen will be flying around. Oh, the joys of spring! I do love it but my allergies don't.
Annette, I can't imagine 22 cats. I had 5 when I lived in Montana, in a 1-bedroom house, and that was too many to deal with for me. I downsized to two when I moved to South Dakota. My friend Jeanine who runs the cat rescue has at times 25 ... but she has them in big rooms or cages that are set up for a shelter. And at times she has surrendered some to the Humane Society when she has gotten too many to deal with herself.
Well, two more days of work, one day of half news/half sports, then a day of all sports. I'm ready for the weekend but I still have to work two more days. I miss having Saturdays off already.
Have a good day.
Annette, the cat thing has got to be one of those horrid situations you see on Animal Cops on TV. It might be a good idea if you wore a mask when you are over there. At least that would be a little protection and maybe help with the asthma. Of course, it would be better if you weren't there at all, but it seems no one is leaving you a choice. It is mind boggling that the people who are charged with animal safety can't do anything. What's that all about???? I hope for you, and for the cats, that somehow the situation will be addressed. Here's hoping someone will get real and respond to the situation.....Hugs to you and everyone in the thread, Mary

Good Afternoon Carla and Friends, A much quieter day today. Hannah and Clara slept from 7pm to 7am. Got them to daycare with a minimum of confusion. They are getting me trained pretty well. It's beautiful here today.
I had such a nice day yesterday. Met Sharon A for lunch and then spent a couple of hours at the home of Vitalady.com. Meeting Michelle was fun and she has a wealth of info to share. I wish I had more time. Next time I'll plan it for a day when I don't have to be back to pick up babies.
I came home with Calcium Crystals. The sample that Michelle gave me in a protein drink didn't have any gritty feel for me which is a must. My plan is to put my calcium in my drinks each day; that will be a few less pills to consume. I'll give you my verdict in a few days.
Mike arrived a couple of hours ago and is mowing the lawn for Josh. Josh's baseball games out of town didn't get over until 10:30 last night and he got home at midnight. Thankfully the girls slept through so he got a few hours of sleep. Someone had canceled their refs???? Go figure, double header games kind of need those refs! Even I know that and I'm a baseball dufus.
Erin reported in that she has a bit of a burn from sunning yesterday so today was going to involve a hat and a hike in the Iao Valley on Maui. Her time is going fast. Before she knows it she'll be back home.
Well I hear the drier beeping. Good thing H and C's clothes are tiny as there sure are plenty of them to wash!
Have a great weekend everyone.
