Good monday morning! What's new with you?

Hi George and my OFF family:

I was happy for you that the Rangers won ... saw the highlights on Baseball Tonight and cheered for you (also happy that they beat the Royals because they're in the AL Central and that's the same division as the White Sox). The Sox won too ... 12-2 over the Rays, so they took the series 4-1, so I was happy.

I talked to Brenda, too, and tried to cheer her. I know it's hard to do when you've been kicked in the teeth like that. Sometimes our family isn't always nice to us. That's the same in my family. My own sister (and why did I expect any different?) didn't even wish me a happy birthday on my birthday when she saw me at my grandnephews' birthday party (didn't even say hello to anyone, just went to play with the boys) and then she didn't even send me a card. Like I said, I shouldn't expect any different from her. Well, I have sisters from other mothers ... Brenda, Carla, Paulette, all of you here, my sister-in-law Margaret ... I wish I could be close to my sister like my mother was to hers, but it's not gonna happen. I love my brothers, they're great, but then there's my sister ... she must've been switched at birth (except she looks too much like the rest of us ... especially that nose ... I have the Delort nose, though, lucky me! everyone else has the Briesch beak).

Carla, I hope you get some help for your cough. My cold is finally gone, but fortunately it was all in my nose.

Well, not much today, last day of vacation. I have a psychologist appointment and then I have some running to do. It's raining again. I have to go to the bank and Walgreens and the post office afterwards.

Have a good day. I've got to get going because I can't take the usual route to the highway because the on ramp is closed due to construction.

G'morning OFFers,

I'm glad the Rangers were good to you on your birthday, George!

Today is a stay at home day for me.  It's raining cats and dogs outside.  I'm skipping a 3-Day footwear clinic tonight; there are more scheduled so it's not a big deal.  My time will be spent working on fund-raising letters to businesses and other related tasks.

Have lots of email to answer, and as always, the book to work on.  The ingredients for chai tea are sitting on the counter and I'll whip up a batch.  I altered my high-sugar recipe and this one is just as good.  I don't use protein powder in it simply because I like something extra once in a while without protein.  I consider it a "freebie."

Went over to DS's house for dinner yesterday.  My DIL's parents, her sister and sister's friend, and her brother and his family were there.  Good, good time.  I even found something I could eat for dinner!  No dumping or eating wrong!  Yay!!  Both grandsons will be playing T-ball this year.  DS was a coach last year but is the manager this year.  Watching little ones play T-ball is the funniest thing.  The kids stand in the outfield and pull up their shirts and play with there tummies, they play with the gravel and watch the ball roll past.  You can hardly stop laughing through the whole game.  First game is Friday.

Blessed day to everyone!

Elaine

Hi George, happy birthday! It was beautiful out yesterday. I hung out clothes on the line to dry. Pretty quiet weekend. Mona

Good morning George and everyone....

It is raining and cold today....when will the warm temps come and stay??

George....glad you had a great birthday!

Brenda....my thoughts and prayers are with you. You are such a special person....we know your value. Hang in there we are always here for you!!

Eileen...glad your cold is better. I had that rotten cold too. My nose has been running ever since. However, now I think it is allergies....it is that time of year.

Margo....good for you...you got the hem done! I am sure you will have fun....at least you will get away for awhile.

Judy....let me know when the Bourbon Sauce arrives. Hope you enjoy it!!

As for me...I have a busy day. Need to get work done for my job this morning. About 1:00 I will be going down to St. Paul to take Kyleigh (granddaughter) to a doctor's appointment. Carrie (daughter) has an important meeting and can't take Kyleigh so I volunteered. I will be going to their house for dinner tonight. Carrie is going to highlight my hair....it needs it!!

That is about it for me. I best get back to work. Prayers to those in need. have a good day everyone. Share a smile with a stranger.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Good morning to you George and my dear OFF family. I know that I have a wonderful group of loving and caring people to come to when I need them. You are always here with me wherever I go. Thanks so much for all your caring and giving. It is appreciated more than you will ever know.

I had a long talk, almost 2 hours, with my Pastor and he helped me come to another point in this whole situation. I know that I must forgive everyone, but I know that I do
not have to be a doormat to anyone. I must forgive but then I can walk on and do with my life that which makes me happy. I can not, for my own sanity allow Kayden into my life. I know that he is going to be in the lives of major manipulators and he in turn is going to become one also, there isn't really a choice for him. A child becomes what they see. I will not allow myself to be manipulated through a innocent child. I have to do what I have to do in order to protect me.....no one else is going to protect me.

It is cold and wet here today. I just keep thinking that this is just going to bring the warm weather........a girl can dream at times, can't she? I just keep envisioning the beautiful sun and flowers and that has to be the thing that gets me through until it is here. That is if it comes....there has been years that we just go from winter to summer and then to winter. I am beginning to think that around here there is at times just 2 seasons and not the old 4.

I better get going. I am getting hungry and so I am finally going to eat breakfast. I haven't done to good with food the last couple of days. I am not eating enough and that is not good. Protein in kind of going down the tubes about now if you know what I mean. I have to do this for me....I have to take care of me....no one else is going to.

I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are going up for everyone too. Have a wonderful day where ever you are and what ever you need to do.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
