Good morning all.  Had a wonderful birthday. Thank you for all the well wishes.  Had a great time at the ball game.  The Rangers won with a home run in the bottom of the 9th.  Spent the afternoon with my kids and grandkids there.  Mary got me a Rangers sweat jacket that I wanted.  Penny got ne the tshirt I wanted.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Brenda, my heart bleeds for you.

Have a great Monday.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

hi-it's monday-what can i say??????????

george-thanks for starting us this morning! sounds like you took the "prize" with your birthday stash!!!   whooo hoooooooo !!!!!!!!!! one year; i had been complaining that i needed new underwear-um- it was my 40th birthday -and ya know what i got? new white undies...ahhhhh...i have since learned to be more careful about the hints i drop!!!!

the situation with brenda is such a heartbreaker; i know that all the parties were speaking and acting in emotion and she will definitely be wanted as they see the error of their ways..however...the damages have been done-not once but twice....brenda..i pray that you can be the better person (that i know you are!!!!) so that you AND kayden don't miss out on life and love.... screw the rest of 'em!!!!!!!!!!! being an adopted child, i have been exposed to so many emotions and sayings and one that sticks is something like "you didn't grow in my womb, rather , in my heart"--well- take that and make it work for you!!! and remember "when a baby is born, so is a grandmother"---again-screw the rest of "em!!!!!

well-the skirt is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yay for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the formal is at the drycleaners and i need to get a hat box (a shopping excuse-oh my!!!!) -pack my toiletries and i am done!!! wish i was as excited about going to the darned conference as when i first got started on this! ah well...... it will be fun...one of the down sides to the DAR is that everything -and i mean EVERYTHING-is so darned expensive-it's all money money money that i don't have!!!!!!!!!! so i am going on the frugal plan!!!!!

so- for the next 7 work days (excluding this friday) i am working an extra hour to make up friday's pay---it gets old but it's necessary! and today, i am alone til noon again....

my cat has been quite lovey dovey lately and i am wondering why??? she lives in our bedroom-ventures out only on very rare occasions and when i get into bed she has -lately-been coming over to nudge me..she used to sleep up on my hip and arm but hasn't since we have had dogs...this morning i woke to her rubbing my arm and licking me...hmmm...wish i could sit and hold her but she won't have any part of that!

well- work is my plan for the day..i'll check back tonite to see what everyone else is up to...rain in our forecast and 46* already today....
hugs and prayers...............

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, I bet you will have a cat that wants the loving on your lap, of course in her time frame, before long. Give her some time and make sure you are open to her when she wants it. Even if it is for just a couple of minutes. I use to have the same trouble with Misty and now she is just a pain in my bee hind at times. She comes to me when she wants lovin' and I better give it to her even if for a minute. Our best time is when I go to the bathroom in the morning. She comes to me and paws at me if I don't pick her up and hold her. I have created a monster....but a loving one! When I first got Misty she wanted no part of people including us. She still runs for under the bed when someone knocks at the door but I must say at times she is venturing out to look at who comes to the door. It has taken her about 5 years to do that.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

brenda-NO! i don't think so! i have had callie for 10 years now last month- she never was lovey and i don't expect her to get more so as she is aging-she is 15 now....she is not happy that the dogs occupy her bed!!!!

i have read -and believe-that cats who are not held by humans alot when very young never get friendly/lovey--she had been someone's before i got her from the pound-she was spayed already when they found her out in the snow and cold in a very rich neighborhood--she was at the pound 3 months and had almost hit her maximum "at the inn"....

she does get mouthy when i am in the bathroom but her food is in there and she seems to think the bowl needs to constantly be filled to the brim--i think her eyesight is going---i met an 18 year old molly cat today - she was mouthy- but in a nice way--

my ernie (girl) was so lovey even to the very end- she was 18.5 when i had to put her down...no cat will ever live up to her in my heart ....

i don't think callie will get to be more friendly/lovey  now....tho she did try to get in my lap when i was doing my Christmas present knitting spree a few months back....

I had an expensive weekend.  My hubby bought a motorcycle.  I am not all that pleased but I know we will enjoy it.  We bought helmets and I must say, I like mine.  It reminds me of Darth Vador.  Machine color black or dark grey, full face with a sun visor (I have glasses so I can't switch to sunglasses), air vents all over it which helps with the clausterphobic feeling and, get this, lights in the back!   We bought some reflector tape to put all over them so we are more visible.  Hubby brought home the motorcycle manual from the DMV so I'm going to take the test then sign up for the actual riding course.  I sat on an awesome Yamaha 250 complete with a plastic windshield and saddlebags.  I don't have the $3300 for it, but that's ok.  I'd show you it, but I don't remember how to add a picture here.  You can see it on my facebook wall if you want.

So, that was my weekend.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good morning ya'll.

A very quiet weekend.  My DH is finally getting out in his shed again.  He has now lost 40 pounds from his pre-op WLS weight.  He has a shed in the back yard with his CB radio, tools, a mini-fridge, water cooler, coffee pot, little TV, AC in the window, the whole 9.  He hasn't been out there much since we moved here and he set it up.  I am SOOO happy to see him getting back into his interests.

My Momma turns 85 today.  Yesterday she said a neighbor has given her the name of a 'fantastic eye doctor'.  She has macular degeneration.  It is getting worse and she will not accept that.  She keeps going to new opthamologists.  They all tell her the same thing:  new glasses will not help, things are gonna get worse.  She looks for another eye guy.  She got lens implants years ago, and used to drive Dad crazy going to get new glasses every few months.  Sure that they all made the glasses wrong, or did the exam wrong, because nothing improves her vision.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi George and my OFF family,

George, sounds like you had just the kind of birthday you deserved. Ballpark, family and ball related gifts. You must be a happy camper today!

Gary's photo shoot went really well yesterday. As soon as he gets things processed and onto his website I'll post the link. He might have some more competition winners here. Best parti is that the house is clean and I don't have to do anything but a load or two of laundry.

Brenda, we're all here for you in this rough time. Families can be the best of times and the worst of times. Hope it all averages out for you.

Gee, we have motorcycles, period costumes with little velvet bags and husbands in their workshops. Sounds like a good start to the week.

Me?  Tonight is Jesus Christ Superstar at our symphony hall. Can't wait!
I'm off to the shower to be ready for the doctor's office if they can get me in. Girl problems still going on...now I'm REALLY scared and worried. Stay tuned for further updates.

Susan
