Thank you all for the birthday wishes.  I'd rather skip the birthdays, but at least I'm enjoying them more than I used to...

My son and I spent the day at the Baltimore Museum of Art.  I never get to go to those places, as I don't have many friends interested in the arts.  So it's always great to come to visit and do special things.  Tomorrow id the Smithsonian, again the arts building.  I love the photography and textile and glass exhibits.

I got hold of Aime and we're planning on meeting for brunch on Sunday.  I'm going to bring my son along, and she might have her little one as well.  Can't wait to see her!

Thank you again for all the good wishes.

Candy,

I'm so envious of your trip to Baltimore... I've always wanted to see the things you are seeing. Enjoy your time and your sightseeing... wish I were in your pocket.

Have a great time and tell Aime hello.

Candy, Happy Belated girly.  I hope you had a wonderful birthday.  Sounds like you are still celebrating?  I've always wanted to have about two weeks to visit the Smithsonian.  Sounds great.  I know you are having a wonderful time with your son.

I've never been to DC. I think I need to make that a "destination" trip. I could spend DAYS in the Smithsonian's American History Museum.  Are the cherry trees blooming?

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom.  Also tulips, pansies, and acres of daffodils.  We spent the day in DC at two of the Smithsonian arts buildings.  Would have stayed longer but my darn foot was giving me hell.  LOTS of walking!

It was a good day.  Actually two good days.  I treasure the time with my son.
