I miss you too, girlfriend!  Whata hoot that was!  I still weep for those poor stripe-painted burros.....why didnt they just send out for zebras???...except Janet sure looked good sitting on one!

But then she looked great even when she picked up strange men to dance with while you stood by trying to look innocent...I didnt have to TRY...he he.

And I'm still wondering how we ever turned down almost-free massages with a happy ending...LOLOL!!

*hugs*  Don't they know we're trying to sleep???

Good Morning Susan,
I was totally freaked out when I had a full on period after several years post-menopausal.  My ob/gyn said "well, you still have hormones!"  All of the appropriate tests were run, and a pelvic ultra sound done, no cancer or anything wierd.  I guess our bodies will do what they do!

Today begins with church.  It's a children's program today, so we'll have a full house of parents with their children.  I guess the practice yesterday was out of control.  The kids were just full of spring fever and the music director was pulling her hair.  Funny, I bet today those same kids will do a fabulous job.

Then I hope a quiet afternoon.  I need to clean house, but Sunday is the day of rest isn't it?  Maybe I'll finally clean off my desk.  Maybe......  I am tempted to go to the garden center..again...and get some more flowers.  I just love planting the spring flowers.  I can rationalize that one by saying its good exercise.  Wonder why I don't consider house cleaning good exercise hmmmmm?

Have a great Sunday everyone.  Blessings to all!

Walking with you on this journey, Mary

Susan ~ My first thought was " estrogen cream or KY Jelly". We get rather delicate and dry after a hysterectomy. I never experienced menopause, had a total hysterectomy when I was 30. Get it checked and let us know the answer. Try to stay calm.

Several members of my support group have joined a softball team. Hooray for them. I may mosey to their first practice this afternoon. Don't want to play but I can cheer them on.Cheerleader 2

Hey Annette,

Yeah, I think she (the gyn) and I had this conversation last year, but even so, it's still unnerving. I'd just as soon have the rest of it taken out. What the heck good does it do anyway??

Did you wear a short skirt and have pom-poms???

Oh yes Susan - very unnerving. That's why you will call in the morning. It was a huge decision for me to have it all removed. Also the BEST decision, that stuff had caused grief for years.

My pom poms deflated and my legs in a short skirt would blind people.

More than my pompoms have deflated I can assure you.
My partial hysterectomy was an emergency situation within an hour of Jeff's birth. The uterine artery ruptured and I was bleeding out. I was only 28 and had every intention of having more children, but someone made other plans for me. Going into menopause was interesting since I didn't have a cycle to base any changes on. Now that that's all done, what's the point of keeping any  of it. My girlfriend here says to "hook up the Dirt Devel and suck that stuff outta there". She's a riot, and I tend to agree with lots of what she says

you really don't need any of that other stuff ---since your childbearing is done....jmho

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Susan,  I went through menopause at 47.  Ten years later I was on a cruise, and lo and behold, along came a period.  Of course I wasn't prepared.  It was light, but lasted about 4 days.  The doctor was concerned about uterine cancer so sent me for a uterine ultrasound.  They found a cyst.  Sent me back three months later and the cyst had gotten smaller, and no more periods.  It was a shocker, but all for naught.  Who knows why it happens tho.  Hope the gyn can give you some reasons.
I'll keep good thoughts for you.
